In order to introduce Germany's advanced dual-system vocational education model and cultivate high-quality technical talents with international qualification certificates, on July 13th, SPA and German Industry and Commerce Greater China held the cooperation agreement signing ceremony and the opening ceremony of teacher training for AHK localization in the multi-functional hall of the school. Wilhelm Dittrich, president of Vocational Education of German Industry and Commerce Greater China, Chen Liwei, deputy president of Vocational Education of German Industry and Commerce Greater China, Yue Xiangyang, director of Sino-German Faculty Training Base of Jiangsu Taicang Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology, Lin Guoxin, Party secretary and vice principal of SPA, Gao Ju and Huang Hanjun, vice principal of SPA and other relevant leaders and teachers attended the signing ceremony.
First of all, Chen Liwei briefly introduced German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She said that according to the relevant German laws and regulations, all German companies must join the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. German Chamber of Commerce and Industry is responsible for organizing and coordinating the vocational education activities of the German Chamber of Commerce and the Overseas Chamber of Commerce. German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK) has set up overseas agencies all over the world, including the AHK Shanghai representative office, which is authorized by the German government to be responsible for the cooperation projects of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in German dual system in China. AHK's vocational education system includes a vocational education committee that works out standards from the strategic level, a competency group and an examination committee that organizes the examination. AHK plans to introduce German professional standards from a strategic level, make localized design through the vocational education committee established in China, conduct quality management in the process of vocational education, and establish an examination committee that organizes tests in full accordance with German professional standards to guide assessment.
After in-depth discussions between the two parties, Lin Guoxin and Wilhelm Dittrich signed a cooperation agreement. In fact, before the official signing of the agreement, SPA has held several meetings with the German AHK Business Association to discuss specific cooperation programs. The two sides agreed that under the background of the new normal of China's economy, the acceleration of the construction of four centers in Shanghai, and the pilot reform of new industrialization in Jinshan District, China's vocational education development is facing opportunities unparalleled for development, shouldering the important responsibility of cultivating diverse talents, inheriting technical skills, and promoting employment. This cooperation is at the right time and both sides are actively adapting to the new economic and social development situation, with clear objectives and accurate orientation. Secondly, as a cooperative school, SPA has a good hardware, especially in the fields of chemical technology, numerical control, electromechanical, etc., and has large training bases and advanced training equipment and facilities that cannot be equipped in many other vocational schools. As the other side of the cooperation, in terms of “soft power”, AHK has the world's leading vocational education system. At the same time, many AHK’s member units are in the forefront of the world in the high-tech industry and high-end manufacturing. Therefore, the two parties hope to reach an in-depth cooperation agreement as soon as possible, give full play to their respective advantages, and work together to develop closer and broader cooperation between the school and enterprises to promote win-win development. With the formal signing of the cooperation agreement, the two sides will introduce the German dual system vocational education concept and school-running experience based on the school's vocational education and training, to cultivate and reserve high-quality professional and technical talents with international qualification certificates for Shanghai and even the Yangtze River Delta region, to create conditions for the sustainable development of high-end manufacturing enterprises in Germany and other countries.
In order to effectively implement the in-depth cooperation agreement between China and Germany, after the signing ceremony, the two sides immediately launched the AHK localization teacher training ceremony. This training aims at promoting the further localization and in-depth implementation of the AHK curriculum. It adopts a variety of teaching methods such as “Action-oriented Teaching Method” and conducts AHK training in accordance with the German “Double System”. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Yue Xiangyang expressed sincere welcome and good wishes on behalf of AHK for the training project. On behalf of the trainees ,Yu Jie expressed her passionate expectations for the training. Finally, Huang Hanjun made some specific requirements for the training work. He hoped that this training was not only for the introduction of the AHK International Vocational Qualification Certificate, but also an urgent requirement for promoting the brand building of SPA. He hoped that the trainees will learn to develop the curriculum of the dual system, to design course tasks, and the new model of quality management to effectively promote the talent training of SPA.
We believe that the in-depth cooperation between SPA and German Industry and Commerce Greater China will effectively promote SPA to introduce the German professional qualification certification standards, reconstruct the professional curriculum system, develop and implement the localized “dual system” curriculum, and comprehensively improve the teaching quality to cultivate high-quality skilled talents with an international perspective. At the same time, this cooperation will certainly push the major construction and internationalization level of SPA to a new level.
