On September 27th, accompanied by Bai Jinbo, member of the Standing Committee of Jinshan District Party Committee and minister of the United Front Work Department, Dai Ping, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the District Party Committee and Party Secretary of the District Federation of Overseas Chinese, Wang Jiahao, chairman of the Australian Shengtai Group, came to SPA to discuss cooperation. Gu Hongwei, director of Jinshan District Education Bureau, and Zheng Ying, deputy director of Jinshan District Education Bureau attended meeting. During the talk, the two sides both agreed that in the background of the current overall world economy, as a center of modern manufacturing industry development in Shanghai, Jinshan faces great opportunities. At the same time, Australia is facing new opportunities and challenges as well in the new background of China's economic development. Lin Guoxin pointed out the current development focus from the historical perspective of school development. He pointed out that the Shanghai Petrochemical Academy was set up in order to serve the development of Shanghai petrochemical industry. It was founded in 1978 by Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited, and soon became a national key secondary vocational school. In 2002, the cooperation between SPA and Bayer Germany took the lead in starting the “Order-oriented Cultivation ” school-enterprise cooperation in China. In 2013, it was recognized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first batch of National Model Schools of Education Reform and Development in Secondary Vocational Schools. For a long time, SPA has actively promoted school-enterprise cooperation, actively introduced foreign advanced educational concepts and teaching methods, and fully committed to developing a teaching model that is in line with international vocational and technical education, making an indelible contribution to regional economic and social development. SPA is highly praised by superior departments in charge and people from all walks of life. Nowadays, under the new background of China's economic and social development, SPA especially looks forward to realizing new development and achieving new heights by fully drawing on high quality resources and experience of vocational education at home and abroad. As a well-known overseas Chinese company, Australia Shengtai Group has the advantages of being familiar with the political, economic, cultural and legal aspects of China and Australia. Before the meeting, the guests from Shengtai Group also visited the campus ofSPAl with great interest, from the Bayer Training Base to the Evonik Simulation Training Center, from the Shanghai Chemical Technology Open Training Center to the Comprehensive Experimental Training Building. The Australian guests listened carefully to the introduction about the construction of the training base of SPA and the achievements in the service of society. They expressed their admiration and appreciation for the tireless efforts of SPA to actively integrate high-quality resources and improve the level of international education.
