On the afternoon of March 29, 2017, Principal Gao Ju and other three leaders of SPA went to visit Evonik Major Chemical (Shanghai) CO., Ltd, which is one of the world’s leading major chemical companies. They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Chen Jinqiu, general manager of Evonik Major Chemical (Shanghai) CO., Ltd and Zhang Hong, human resources manager of Evonik Greater China. The two sides exchanged ideas on school-enterprise cooperation.
First of all, Gao Ju mentioned that Evonik is a intimate partner of SPA. Since 2005, the two sides have established a steady cooperative relationship in various forms, such as setting up “Evonik Class” and “Evonik China Chemical Training Center”, launching “Evonik China Chemical Summer Training Camp”, successfully starting “order-oriented cultivation” cooperating training. At the same time, they extend their cooperation from pre-service academic education to pre-service & on-the-job integration education and training. The tacit cooperation between the two parties is a model for school-enterprise cooperation.
Then, Gao Ju gave a detailed instruction to the major construction, the internationalized school-running process, students’ skill certificate and teacher training, etc. He also mentioned that as the demand for excellent graduates in the enterprises continues to increase, SPA will set up more classes with international standard. In order to embody the concept of German Dual System and to deliver excellent employees for the enterprises, SPA pays more attention to the combination of professional theoretical knowledge and practical ability in the setting of teaching curriculum. The school tries to improve students’ professional competence and professionalism by arranging practice in enterprises in different stage of learning.
Dr. Cheng Jinqiu said that further promotion of school-enterprise cooperation is the common aspiration of both parties. As a intimate partner of Evonik, SPA has delivered a large number of outstanding employees for the company. In addition, Dr. Chen introduced in details about the size of the workforce, sales performance, scope of business and MUSC of EVONIK in 2016. He also pointed out that the 12-year struggle has created today’s MUSC in China, which owes a lot to the frontline staff who graduated from SPA. EVONIK is willing to further cooperate with SPA and make the school-enterprise cooperation reach a higher level.
