In order to promote the strategic cooperation between SPA and Shanghai Jinshan Industrial Zone, on April 13, 2017, SPA and the enterprise service center of Shanghai Jinshan Investment & Development CO., Ltd invited more than 30 enterprises in the industrial zone to jointly hold an enterprise salon to have an in-depth discussion on how to promote the cooperation between the school and enterprises. Gao Ju, principal of SPA, Huang Hanjun, vice principal of SPA, the heads of professional departments and some middle-level cadres participated in the event. It was presided by Shen Jun, director of the enterprise service center of Shanghai Jinshan Investment & Development CO., Ltd.
On behalf of Jinshan Industrial Zone, Shen Jun expressed warm welcome to the leaders and representatives from the enterprises. He pointed out that with the formal singing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between SPA and Industrial Zone on March 28, they officially opened prelude to cooperation and win-win development. This cooperate salon marks the cooperation between the two sides will continue to radiate the regional economy and gradually complete the transition from “school- industrial zone cooperation” to “school-enterprise cooperation”. The outstanding enterprises in the industrial zone will also take advantage of the framework agreement between SPA and industrial zone to achieve two-way cooperation with SPA.
Principal Gao Ju introduced the general situation of the school. He pointed out that this event has established a good communication platform for both the school and enterprises to promote mutual understanding. SPA has always attached great importance to school-enterprise cooperation and order-oriented cultivation and has formed long-term friendly cooperative relations with Fortune 500 companies such as Covestro , BASF and Evonik, etc, and has trained a large number of outstanding employees for the companies. SPA is also willing to cooperate with the enterprises in Jinshan Industrial Zone , cultivating all kinds of talents to meet the requirements of enterprises. Meanwhile, SPA also carries out on-the-job training to improve employees’ professionalism and skills.
Shun Feng, director of the Vocational Skills On-the-Job Training Center of SPA, gave a policy interpretation to the enterprise representatives on the model and operation methods of employee training, and introduced in detail about the special subsidy training category and the various training ways for the employees of enterprises.
Shao Zhe, section director of Chemical Engineering Department of SPA, introduced the overall situation of the department from the aspects of major features, faculty, training conditions, construction achievements, school-enterprise cooperation and on-the –job training, etc.
Yu Jie, deputy section director of Electromechanical Department of SPA, introduced the electromechanical major and the on-the–job training. She specially mentioned the professional qualification training courses and explained the training concept that vocational school will focus on serving regional economic development, looking for new opportunities for professional development in school-enterprise cooperation, and cultivating skilled talents for lifelong development.
Jia Peixin, section director of Economics & Trade Department of SPA, Yin Jie, head of Logistics Teaching & Research Group, introduced the four majors of the department from the aspects of faculty, training objectives, main and special courses, training modules and logistics training rooms, etc, so that the representatives of the enterprises present could have a deeper understanding of the Economics & Trade Department.
The second part of the enterprise salon was group discussions. The Chemical Engineering Department and Economics & Trade Department mainly discuss with food, pharmaceutical and cultural creative enterprises while the Electromechanical Department mainly discuss with new material and smart manufacturing enterprises. The school and enterprises had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the needs of graduates in recent years, the shortcomings and problems the graduates of SPA had in the process of interviews and work, and the needs and requirements of the on-the-job training. Li Zhou, talent development manager of COFCO Rongs Biotechnology Co., Ltd, hoped that SPA could arrange more vocational qualification certificates in the school’s curriculum, which will help students to be qualified for some positions in the company. Gui Lingrong, human resources manager of Uni-President Beverage & Food Development Co., Ltd, expressed that the company would go into production next year, so the company would need more talent reserves and they expected to establish a good cooperative relationship with SPA.
The success of the enterprise salon marks that the cooperation between SPA and the enterprises in Jinshan Industrial Zone will step on a new stage. Only by strengthening the cooperation between the school and the enterprises can we play a more active role in vocational school talent training, scientific research and serving the society.
