From June 1, 2017 to June 6, 2017, Chemical Production Technique Project of 2017 National Vocational Students Skills Competition was held in Wuxi Machinery and Electron Higher Professional and Technical School. 76 teams and 228 contestants from various parts of China took part in 2017 National Vocational Students Skills Competition, including 33 teams and 99 contestants from vocational schools or colleges from various provinces or cities. There were many first-class contestants taking part in the competition. Feng Xintao, Cao Wenjie and Shi Jia from SPA took part in the competition and they won the second group prize. They also received Senior Skill Certificate of General Chemical Control Worker.
Chemical Production Technique Project of National Vocational Students Skills Competition evolved from National Vocational Schools Chemical Control Worker Technique Competition organized by Chinese Chemical Education Association. Now it is a national skills competition hosted by the Ministry of Education. In 2005, SPA won the first prize in the first competition and in the past 12 years, SPA has won many first prizes in the competitions.
The competition of this year consisted of theory, chemical simulation operation and distillation operation. However, many new contents were added to the competition. The coaches were not familiar with the new contents, so it was important and necessary for them to learn by themselves first, master new techniques, and then they could teach the student contestants to achieve high scores.
With joint hard work of teachers and student contestants, the training went on smoothly. They gave up their spare time to get more training and practice. With the collaborative support of leaders of relevant departments, the contestants performed well and got satisfactory prize in the end.
Team cooperation contributes to the final success. Although contestants of SPA didn't get the most satisfactory scores this time because of many factors, they have showcased high quality of the team. At the same time, teachers and students will learn from this experience and hope for better performance in the next competition.
