On July 31, 2017, the Opening Ceremony of BASF Employees Summer Camp was held in the meeting room of the Chemical Engineering Training Building of SPA. Shen Weilin, vice director, Operations of BASF, Shirley Lu, HR senior manager of BASF, Nicole Zhang, HR assistant manager, Gao Ju, principal of SPA, Sun Shuguang, chairman of Labour Union of SPA, leaders of relevant departments and some teachers of the summer camp, attended the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Li Juan, deputy director and branch Party secretary of Chemical Engineering Department of SPA.
Gao Ju, principal of SPA, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of SPA. He extended warm welcome to the 15 excellent employees of BASF and sincere thanks to BASF for strong and firm support in the past ten years and over. He expressed that SPA and BASF have maintained healthy and fruitful cooperation relationship for a long time and have conducted many successful cooperation projects in the fields of order-oriented cultivation, seminars and communications on teaching materials, methodology and training of faculty, etc. The 2nd summer camp will be conducted very soon, symbolizing the new chapter of effective cooperation of SPA and BASF in the field of vocational education and training. The cooperation of both sides will be deepened and pushed forward continuously. SPA will provide service and support for the 3-week BASF Employees Vocational Training and the cooperation will be reinforced through the training.
Shen Weilin expressed his gratitude to SPA for providing the training platform for BASF employees and put forward his sincere expectations for the 15 trainees. He hoped that in the next three weeks, they will cherish the training opportunity, improve their vocational skills and occupational ethics, combine what will be learned at class with practice in actual work, bring the knowledge and theory to be learned back to their subsidiaries, share the outcomes with their peers to achieve mutual development.
Shen Chenyang, dean of SPA, introduced the overall situation of SPA and the main courses of the summer camp. The training involves energy separation, distillation, abstraction, chemical instrument, etc. Through theory and practice, he hoped that the trainees will promote their knowledge and technique, strengthen their sense of safe production, team cooperation ability, sense of responsibility and sense of good behaviors, etc.
After the opening ceremony, the leaders and the trainees took a group photo to mark the moment, hoping 2017 BASF Employees Summer Camp will be a success.
