Opening Ceremony of the 10th Anniversary of Eovnik Greater China Front-line Operators Summer Camp —— Remaining True to Original Aspiration & Striding Hand in Hand for Ten Years

On September 11, 2017, the opening ceremony of 2017 Evonik Greater China Front-line Operators Summer Camp & the 10th Anniversary of Summer Camp organized by SPA and Evonik were held in Evonik Xin Zhuang Site. Dr. Claas Klasen, president of Evonik Asia Pacific North, Cheng Danian, head of HR of Evonik Greater China Region, Zhang Hong, business partner of HR, Dr. Rainer Staul, manager of Material and Function of MUSC, Gao Ju, principal of SPA, Huang Hanjun, vice principal of SPA, Shao Zhe, director of Chemical Engineering Department, Jiang Fangping, deputy director of General Administration Office of SPA, Lu Yanyan, class teacher of the summer camp, and all the trainees of the summer camp, attended the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Wang Chunyan, HR manager of Evonik.

The ceremony began with a video, which was divided into four parts: "Insight of Trainees", "Speech of Trainee Supervisors", "Thought of Regional Management Teams" and "Vision of Various Sections of Enterprise". The video helped the people present recall the memorable experience of 10 years' summer camps. With joint persistence and concerted efforts of SPA and Evonik, Evonik Front-line Operators Summer Camp has become a benchmarking project of Evonik.

Dr. Claas Klasen, president of Evonik Asia Pacific North, delivered a welcome speech to the trainees, in which he briefly introduced the overall development of the enterprise. First of all, he expressed his sincere thanks to SPA for the great support of Evonik Greater China Front-line Operators Summer Camp for ten years and he also expressed his wishes for long-term cooperation. Meanwhile, Dr. Claas Klasen put forward his expectations for the summer camp of the 20 trainees from different regions or bases. He hoped that they will learn to talk, to feel, to cooperate and to have fun in the 2-week training.

Gao Ju, principal of SPA, expressed his congratulations on the opening of the 10th summer camp and extended his warm welcome to the trainees. He recalled the cooperation between SPA and Evonik in 4 numbers: “10” —— Up to now, SPA and Evonik have jointly held 10 summer camps; “12” —— In 2005, SPA and Evonik (the original Degussa) signed a cooperation agreement. In the same year, Evonik invested 500,000 Euros to establish the training base in SPA, so it has been a 12-year cooperation history; “299” —— By means of establishing Evonik Class, SPA has trained and sent 299 graduates for Evonik cumulatively; “336” —— Through the ten-year summer camp cooperation, SPA has trained 336 employees of Evonik cumulatively. In fact, there are 365 employees in all if the trainees of the 10th summer camp are included. Meanwhile, Gao Ju introduced the overall situation of SPA and the current AHK Certificate Localization. He encouraged the trainees to be active and diligent in the 2-week training, and to improve their theoretical and practical skills. In the end, he promised that SPA will provide strong support and logistic services for the trainees' study and life during the training.

Cheng Danian, head of HR of Evonik Greater China Region, introduced the new contents of "Employer Brand" to the trainees. Through "Employer Brand" activity of Human Chemistry, he explained the inner motive and promise of "Evonik Employer Brand", which expresses the targets and ideas of the enterprise in the aspects of talent, resources, team construction and flexibility, etc. He hoped that the trainees will be able to find out opportunities, to share and to grow together.

Shao Zhe, director of Chemical Engineering Department, introduced the Chemical Technology Professional Training from the following aspects : overall school situation, faculty force, training conditions, cooperative school-running, training activities, etc. to the trainees. Meanwhile, he explained in detail the training courses and modules of the summer camp.

At the opening ceremony, the trainees from various parts of China made self-introductions to each other. They expressed their expectations for the summer camp.

This summer camp will last 12 days. During the training, the trainees will have outward bound training, EHSQ training, and module course training including detection, distillation and simulation, etc.
