On December 22, 2017, the First Jinshan @Vocational Education Cup Self-display Campus Talent Competition, sponsored by Jinshan Education Bureau and Jinshan Vocational Education Group and organized by Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, was held in Jinshan Cultural Center. Liu Hua, director of Training and Research Department of Shanghai Science and Technology Art Education Center, Zheng Ying, deputy Party secretary of Jinshan Education Bureau, Qin Deying, secretary-general of Shanghai Secondary Vocational Moral Research Society, Jin Siyun, principal of Shanghai Food Science and Technology School & deputy secretary-general of Jinshan Vocational Education Group, Zhuo Lihuan, vice president of Shanghai Zhongqiao College, Zhou Fenhua, principal of the Health School of Jinshan, Gao Ju, principal of SPA, and other leaders from relevant schools and colleges, attended the activity.
The theme of the competition is to promote traditional culture and to display colorful life. It lasted over three months and covered the talent display of stage works such as dance, song, short sketch, cross talk, musical instrument, drama, etc. and non-stage works such as drawing, photography, calligraphy, etc. SPA attached great importance to the competition. A leading group was formed at the beginning to ensure policy, fund and personnel, etc. 17 stage works and 38 non-stage works were chosen and recommended to take part in the competition. After serious and careful assessment by experts, 11 stage works and 24 non-stage works entered the final of the competition.
Before the competition, Liu Hua delivered an exciting speech, in which she called on all the secondary and higher vocational students to take part in more art activities, to discover and appreciate art beauty, to cultivate artistic creativity, to make sunlight, art and creation become a part of beautiful campus life, to develop vocational schools into important places of advanced culture with Chinese characteristics, and to grow into driving force of publicizing advanced culture, inheriting excellent culture and creating new era culture.
During the competition, students from different schools and colleges gave full play to their strong points. Charming songs, splendid dances, magnificent performance and positive energy they displayed left a deep impression on the audience. Students of SPA's Yunnan Class won applause by presenting the Yi Dance. After fierce and intense competition, Jiang Jiefeng, standing director of Chinese Vocational Education Association Public Art Institute, Min Xin, director of Training Center of Dance School Affiliated to Shanghai Theatre Academy, Xu Ying, member of Shanghai Municipal Commission Secondary Vocational Art Education Committee conducted strict evaluation. Finally, Dance "Jasmine" of SPA and Dance "Red" of the Health School of Jinshan won the first prizes. Short Sketch "Whether to help or not" of SPA, Street Dance "Do you like me" of Shanghai Zhongqiao College, Drama "Cinderella" of Shanghai Zhongqiao College and Dance "Bead Curtain" of Shanghai Food Science and Technology School won the second prizes. Song and Dance "The Beautiful Sun" of SPA, Dance "Desert and Dum" of Shanghai Food Science and Technology School, Group Song "Chrysanthemum Terrace" of Shanghai Food Science and Technology School, Dance "Fan She Girl" of Shanghai Zhongqiao College, Dance "Airline Stewardess Qia Qia Qia" of the Health School of Jinshan won the third prizes. Among the non-stage works, "Flying Golden Dragon" won the first prize in photography; "Leaping" and "Our Art Teacher" won the second prizes in photography; "The Orchid Pavilion" won the first prize in calligraphy; "Child. Lady" won the first prize in drawing.
Zheng Ying announced the winners of the competition. She hoped that the teachers and the students will cherish the honors, worker harder, keep their initial aspirations and historical missions in mind and stride ahead fearlessly. Meanwhile, schools should strive to create a campus cultural atmosphere featuring strengthening skills, displaying talent, promoting morality and facing the future. In this way, multi-level and multi-angle stereoscopic moral education activity system will be formed. We should work together to build Jinshan into Vocational Education Highland & Craftsmanship Cradle.
The talent competition has displayed the fruitful outcomes of art education. This is a centralized inspection of talent cultivation guided by the education policy of the Party, which also fully displays the important ways of moral education and elegant campus culture, so it is a magnificent reflection of teachers' and students' spirituality, belief, pursuit and harmony.
