On the morning of April 11, 2018, Gao Ju, principal of SPA, Tang Lianxi, director of Enrolment and Employment Office, Shao Zhe, director of Chemical Engineering Department, and Jiang Fangping, deputy director of General Administration Office, went to the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park to pay a visit to the top leaders of Evonik Specialty Chemical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Dr. Chen Jinqiu, general manager of Evonik Specialty Chemical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Joyce Zhang, HR business partner, Villy Wang, HR manager and other leaders of Evonik, received the visitors warmly.
Gao Ju recalled the cooperation history of SPA and Evonik Specialty Chemical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Since SPA established cooperation with Evonik in 2005, both sides have conducted fruitful cooperation in the field of talent cultivation, major construction, employee training, etc. So far, 11 summer camps of Evonik chemical operators have been held. SPA has trained 365 post-service employees for Evonik cumulatively. 11 Evonik Classes have been set up in the past ten years and over. "Campus Talk —— Enterprise Experts Coming into School" activity has been held periodically. Meanwhile, SPA has selected professional teachers to get off-the-job plant training in Evonik. Gao Ju expressed his sincerest thanks to Evonik for the care and support and he also hoped that both sides will conduct in-depth and multi-dimensional cooperation in the future.
Dr. Chen Jinqiu, general manager of Evonik Specialty Chemical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., lauded the school-running outcomes of SPA. He explained the overall development and strategic plans of MUSC Evonik. He said that Evonik has entered a new era of development, in order to promote sustainable development, Evonik needs to strengthen the cooperation with social sectors, especially the cooperation with schools. Evonik and SPA share profound cooperation foundation. He hoped to further explore the cooperation channels and scope, to serve regional economic development, and to boost mutual development.
During the talk, both sides discussed the optimization of cooperative projects. Zhang Hong, HR business partner of Evonik, expressed that Evonik will continue to invite SPA chemical engineering teachers to join Evonik group leaders training camp activity, provide the teachers with off-the-job plant training, help teachers be familiar with processing technology, know current situation of industry and orientation of development, and promote teachers' comprehensive abilities. Meanwhile, both sides also discussed upgrading the projects of the 11th Evonik Chemical Operators Summer Camp. The contents of courses, including safety, technology, equipment, instrument and simulation, etc, will also be optimized according to the actual enterprise production and employees' needs. Furthermore , both sides discussed the details of employment demand and talent cultivation.
