SPA and Pinghu Vocational Secondary School Sign Cooperation Agreement —— Vocational Education Characteristics Highlight Criteria and Affect Surrounding Regions

In order to give full play to the leading role of demonstration of AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base and accelerate the localization and implementation of national chemical vocational schools dual system module, on the morning of May 8, 2018, SPA and Pinghu Vocational Secondary School signed Shanghai Petrochemical Academy Supporting Pinghu Vocational Secondary School in Constructing AHK Sino-German (Pinghu) Chemical Vocational Training Center Cooperation Agreement. Zhang Xiaosong, deputy director of Pinghu Education Bureau, Chen Liwei, deputy director of Vocational Education of German Industry and Commerce Greater China, and leaders of both schools, attended the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, Gao Ju, principal of SPA, delivered a speech on behalf of SPA and AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base. He said that SPA and Pinghu Vocational Secondary School have profound cooperation foundation. The signing activity represents deeper cooperation of both sides in the field of international construction of majors. The introduction of AHK Vocational Qualification Certificate is one of the best practices for combined engineering and industry-education integration, which can further optimize the talent cultivation module to cultivate students catering to enterprises. In the future cooperation, SPA will provide technique and support for Pinghu Vocational Secondary School in the construction of training center and recommend experts from SPA and enterprises to give in-depth guidance to the international construction of chemical majors according to the construction standards of AHK Sino-German (Pinghu) Chemical Vocational Training Center.

Chen Liwei, deputy director of Vocational Education of German Industry and Commerce Greater China, gave a brief introduction to German Industry and Commerce Greater China. She said vocational education training has always been one of the priorities of German Industry and Commerce Greater China. She hoped to promote the schools they have cooperated with to jointly cultivate more innovative talents, to make students benefit a lot from the German Dual Vocational Education System, and to make full preparations for their future vocational career.

In the end, Zhang Xiaosong, deputy director of Pinghu Education Bureau, delivered a speech. He thought highly of the school-running concepts of Pinghu Vocational Secondary School and hoped that the school will be integrated with Shanghai vocational education by deepening the cooperation with SPA and implementing the international construction of majors.

AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base is the first China AHK Industry Vocational Training Base with the joint cooperation and collaboration of SPA and German Industry and Commerce Greater China. The training base is supported by AHK (China) Chemical Examination Committee, AHK (China) Chemical Professional Construction Steering Committee and the trans-enterprise training center jointly constructed by world renowned chemical enterprises. It is the cradle of localization standards of the AHK chemical operators with the joint cooperation and construction of SPA, cross-enterprise chemical training centers and globally well-known chemical enterprises. In the AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base, students can receive relevant academic certificates recognized by Chinese government and German Vocational Qualification Certificate issued by German Industry and Commerce Greater China by attending the education of vocational schools, taking the vocational skills training of enterprises and finally passing the exams organized by vocational schools and AHK (China) Chemical Examination Committee. They will become the high-quality and high-level talents with an international vision. According to the school-school cooperation agreement, SPA will support Pinghu Vocational Secondary School in talent cultivation module, curriculum reform, faculty construction, etc.
