On the night of June 12, 2018, Shanghai Municipal Council of the Communist Youth League released the final results of 2018 Challenging Cup —— Rainbow Life Shanghai Vocational School Innovative Effective Entrepreneurial Competition. The production technology innovation works named "Shanghai Blue Sea Cottage Bed and Breakfast" of SPA won the first prize. The competition was held by Shanghai Municipal Council of the Communist Youth League, Municipal Education Committee, Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Municipal Science and Technology Association, Municipal Institute of Education. Dai Bing, deputy secretary of Shanghai Municipal Council of the Communist Youth League, attended the activity.
The competition helps to establish a platform for vocational school students' innovation and entrepreneurship, to enhance vocational school students' innovative, effective and entrepreneurial capability, and to promote the initiative of "Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation". The competition emphasizes the innovative cultivation of technique and technology, discovers a group of innovative effective young talent among vocational school students, fosters a batch of excellent innovative effective projects, and thus makes preparations for the world skills competition. Through selection, recommendation and semi-final in the secondary and higher vocational schools of Shanghai, 73 pieces of works featuring design, production technology innovation and processing procedure optimization were selected for the final. By means of display and debate, they competed for the final prizes and the qualification of national competition. Teacher and student representatives from 70 secondary and higher vocational schools visited the scene and exchanged their ideas.
SPA attached great importance to this competition. Tang Chenwei, secretary of the League Committee of SPA, took charge of the relevant issues of participation in the competition. With the support and collaboration of Economics & Trade Department, Xu Yue gave guidance and training to the students' team. The production technology innovation works named "Shanghai Blue Sea Cottage Bed and Breakfast" directed by Xu Yue and Yin Jie won the first prize. The project which is still being optimized now has entered the national semi-quarter final. During the preparations, Electromechanical Department of SPA provided great support by taking excellent aerial photos of the fishing village to provide solid support for the project to gain excellent performance in the semi-final.
The competition aims to provide a self-display platform for the secondary vocational students, which also enables students to be involved in a bigger pattern featuring "Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation", makes them discover new things boldly and combine theory with practice. The students of SPA have displayed their youth, wisdom and charm in the competition. They will be sure to make new breakthroughs and become more confident in their future study and life.
