On August 6, 2018 BASF Chemical Operators Summer Camp Opening Ceremony was held in the meeting room of the Chemical Engineering Training Building of SPA. Dr. Yi Yang, vice president of Operations & Management BASF Caojing Site, Sandy Zhou, senior manager of HR of BASF (China) Co., Ltd, Chris Lu, manager of HR, Gao Ju, principal of SPA, Sun Shuguang, chairman of Labor Union of SPA, and other related department leaders of SPA, attended the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Wang Yelin.
Gao Ju delivered a welcome speech on behalf of SPA. He extended warm welcome to the 14 excellent employees of BASF, adding that since SPA and BASF established the project of jointly holding BASF chemical operators summer camp, two sides have sped up the cooperation in the area of post-training of employees. SPA has provided training for over 40 post-service employees for BASF cumulatively. This is the third summer camp, which shows that the cooperation between SPA and BASF is progressing steadily and consistently. SPA will spare no efforts to guarantee the success of the 3-week summer training, to help optimize employees' theoretical knowledge and practical skills, to improve employees' sense of safety and occupational ethics, and to make BASF chemical operators summer camp better and better.
Dr. Li Yang made a mobilization speech on behalf of BASF. He sincerely thanked SPA for the firm support of BASF chemical operators summer camp and put forward earnest expectations for the 14 trainees. He expressed that the 3-week training is priceless for front-line operators, so they should cherish the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge, to know the hows and whys of everything, to develop a habit of asking, analyzing, exploring and resolving questions in the process of learning, to improve occupational skills and ethics, and to substantially combine theory at class with practice at work.
Shao Zhe, director of Chemical Engineering Department, introduced in detail the training courses and modules of "Chemical Technology Training" from the aspects of the overall situation of school, faculty force, training conditions, training activities, etc.
After the opening ceremony, leaders of SPA and BASF took a group photo with the trainees, hoping for the success of 2018 BASF Chemical Operators Summer Camp.
This year's summer camp is the 3rd BASF Chemical Operators Summer Camp since SPA and BASF established summer camp cooperation. It will last 18 days. During the training, trainees will take eight-module learning, theoretically and practically, including process control, organic silicon, C2 hydrogenation, chemical instrument, etc. The training will improve trainees' comprehensive qualities, such as sense of safety, sense of production quality and sense of norms, etc.
