On August 24, 2018, the closing ceremony of 2018 BASF Chemical Operators Summer Camp was held in the meeting room on the second floor of Chemical Engineering Training Building. Shao Zhe, director of Chemical Engineering of SPA, Li Juan, Party secretary of Chemical Engineering of SPA, Jiang Fangping, deputy director of General Administration Office of SPA, Zhang Peng, class teacher of the summer camp, and other training instructors, attended the closing ceremony, which was presided over by Wang Yelin.
At the closing ceremony, Zhang Peng recalled the 3-week summer camp, which was divided into 8 training modules, mainly comprising installation technology, chemical instruments, chemical process control, chemical unit operation (heat transfer and absorption). Through theoretical study and training practice, trainees' comprehensive qualities were improved greatly. In the 3-week training, all the trainees learned attentively, participated actively and passed the assessment successfully. The 3-week training also provided a chance for them to learn from and help each other, during which deep friendship and solid coherence has been formed.
Shao Zhe recalled the cooperation between SPA and BASF and extended his congratulations to the trainees on their passing the assessment of every course of the training. He mentioned that the trainees not only reinforced their chemical theory and improved their operation skills but also shared the work experience and discussed the problems with the instructors, which is a complementary process between teaching and learning.
The trainees shared what they had gained and experienced with each other. They expressed their sincere thanks to BASF and SPA for the elaborate arrangements and plans of the summer camp, because they had gained much more than expected from the summer camp, which is an opportunity of enriching chemical theoretical knowledge and practical skills and harvesting friendship among BASF employees as well.
At the closing ceremony, Shao Zhe and Li Juan presented the completion certificates to the trainees of the summer camp.
