In order to strengthen the bond among alumni and to collaboratively discuss the issues of SPA's 40th anniversary of founding, SPA held an alumni symposium in the meeting room of the Hou De Building on the afternoon of September 14, 2018. Lin Guoxin, Party secretary of SPA, Sun Shuguang, Chairman of Labor Union of SPA, and 17 excellent alumni from Sinopec Shanghai, attended the symposium.
Lin Guoxin and the alumni recalled the development and history of SPA together. Lin Guoxin introduced the current situation and development of SPA, adding that SPA will hold theme activities of the 40th anniversary of founding and the unveiling ceremony of Shanghai Chemical Industry Park Training Base on November 10, 2018. He warmly invited SPA's alumni to attend the activities to recall the history of SPA's 40th anniversary of founding, and to share and enjoy SPA's construction achievements together. Meanwhile, he sincerely hoped that alumni would put forward suggestions to make the activities both grand, warm, simple and pragmatic.
At the symposium, alumni said that they felt proud of SPA's rapid development and great achievements, stating that they are grateful to SPA for the cultivation and education. They shared their learning experience at SPA and work experience after graduation from SPA with each other. They also put forward valuable proposals for the activity as well. Wu Ping, Party secretary of Sinopec Shanghai Quality Management Center, said that there were few chances for them to meet again after graduation, so he sincerely hoped that he would make full use of the golden chance of the 40th anniversary activity to meet his teachers again and to enjoy a cordial talk over old times with them. Zhang Hao, deputy Party secretary of Sinopec Shanghai Investment Development Company Limited, suggested that SPA could carry out a series of meaningful commemorative activities, such as a signature wall, etc. Alumni talked freely and sincerely wished the anniversary theme activity a great success
