On the afternoon of September 29, 2018, Santoni Industry Zone Scholarship Awarding Ceremony & the 2nd Santoni International Class Opening Ceremony were grandly held in the meeting room on the second floor of Chemical Engineering Training Building in south campus of SPA. Andrea, vice president of Operations, Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd., Wang Bailian, director of Human Resources, Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd., Zhu Haihua, supervisor of Human Resources, Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd., Chen Linyan, manager of Human Resources, Shanghai Qiguan Knitting Machine Co., Ltd., Xu Dan, manager of Human Resources, Shanghai Lanjian Electronic Control Equipment Machinery Co., Ltd., Cui Chao, manager of Human Resources, Shanghai Linggao Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., Liu Xuran, general manager of Shanghai Stoll Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd, Gao Ju, principal of SPA, Huang Hanjun, vice principal of SPA, Xu Weidong, director of Electromechanical Department of SPA, Gu Jianping, deputy director of Electromechanical Department of SPA, Yu Jie, branch Party secretary of Electromechanical Department of SPA, Jiang Fangping, deputy director of General Administration Office of SPA, teachers from Electromechanical Department of SPA, and students of Santoni International Class, attended the ceremonies, which were presided over by Lu Juan and Chen Wenbo from Electromechanical Department of SPA.
Principal Gao Ju made a speech on behalf of SPA. He stated that as National Key Secondary Vocational and Technical School and National Model School of Secondary Vocational Education Reform and Development, SPA has been adhering to the principles of "facing market, serving development and promoting employment", persisting in industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, substantially cultivating a great number of high-quality workers and technicians with craftsmanship suited to the demands of enterprises. He believed that through communication and cooperation between SPA and Santoni and scientific management and elaborate education of SPA teachers and Santoni experts, the students of Santoni International Class are sure to learn professional theoretical knowledge earnestly, to improve technical skills, and to become qualified graduates of SPA and future employees of Santoni.
Time flies. The students of the 1st Santoni International Class have spent one year in studying at SPA. They have made progress by studying hard in the past year. Santoni Industry Zone sets up Santoni Industry Zone Scholarship for the students of Santoni International Class to encourage those students who are excellent in moral behavior and academic performance. Huang Hanjun announced the list of winners of the 1st Santoni Industry Zone Scholarship. Distinguished guests from enterprises awarded the prizes to the students. Wang Zhe, the winner of the first prize, made a speech on behalf of all the students. He said that scholarship is both the affirmation of past achievements and expectations for future effort and direction. He promised that they would study harder and make greater progress.
With the joint efforts of both sides, the 2nd Santoni International Class was established successfully. Wang Jiecheng, student representative from the 2nd Santoni International Class, made a speech on behalf of all the students of the 2nd Santoni International Class. He promised solemnly that they would obey school's rules and regulations, follow teachers' advice, acquire foundational and professional knowledge, master operating skills, improve ethic morality and professionalism to make a solid foundation for growing into an excellent employee of Santoni.
Andrea recalled his own childhood in his speech. He encouraged the students to study hard, to create a beautiful future, to cherish the opportunity and platform provided by Santoni and SPA, and to make a plan for their future. He wished all the students better professional development and personal growth.
The joint support and assistance coming from Santoni and SPA contributes to the successful establishment of the two Santoni International Classes. It is sincerely hoped that the students will grasp the chance, continue to study hard, and live up to the expectations of school and enterprise. Their better performance is expected because school-enterprise is bound to achieve more win-win results to boost the development of SPA and the construction of regional economy.
