On November 15, 2018, a 6-member delegation led by Duan Hongyun, vice Party secretary of Chengdu Petrochemical Academy and Wei Ganghua, vice principal of Chengdu Petrochemical Academy, visited Shanghai Petrochemical Academy. Principal Gao Ju received the guests warmly.
Duan Hongyun said that Chengdu Petrochemical Academy has been SPA's friend for a long time. He hoped to learn from SPA's experience in school-running philosophy, school management, building of majors, etc. during the visit.
Gao Ju introduced SPA's overall situation from three aspects, namely, brief introduction, school-running characteristics and future development plans. SPA has been dedicated to upgrading school-enterprise cooperation and striving for a new horizon of vocational education. It has formed special school-running features including school-enterprise integration and cooperation and acceleration of international construction of majors. In future, SPA will consolidate the building of fundamental facilities and build Electromechanical Smart Manufacturing Training Center and Students' Activity Center. At the same time, the school will endeavor to create Smart Campus to accomplish all-around smart service and management of the school. As to the construction of majors, SPA will upgrade traditional majors, establish new majors, expand "3+4" and "3+2" projects, improve professionalism, deepen school-enterprise cooperation and expedite the process of running the school internationally. SPA will continue to stick to the path of Industry-Education Integration & School-Enterprise Cooperation and continually explore talents cultivation model in line with international standards to build SPA into a modern vocational and technical school featuring "Domestic First-class Demonstration & International Advanced Integration".
Accompanied by Gao Ju, the guests visited the History Museum of SPA, Chemical Industry and Human Science Exhibition Hall and Chemical Engineering Training Building. During the visit, both sides conducted further communications.
