On the morning of November 23, 2018, a 17-member delegation led by Liu Hualun, vice president of Chongqing Secondary Vocational Sports Association and Luo Ming, secretary-general of Chongqing Secondary Vocational Sports Association, visited Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and conducted in-depth communications, accompanied by Guo Hong, secretary-general of Shanghai Technical Secondary School Sports Association and Zhou Ming, deputy secretary-general of Shanghai Technical Secondary School Sports Association. The delegation was warmly received by Lin Guoxin, Party secretary of SPA.
First of all, the delegation members visited the History Museum of SPA. They were deeply impressed when they entered the bright, spacious and ingenious school museum. The guests visited every exhibition area with great interest. Lin Guoxin gave vivid introduction from the aspects of school development course, school honors, school moral education, school teaching reform, etc. The visitors were amazed at and sang highly of the great achievements and fruitful results that SPA has made in the past 40 years.
After having a brief understanding of SPA's training facilities, the delegation members went to the playground of the north campus, where SPA students presented various students' club activities such as gong & drum performance, dragon-lion dance, cheerleading, leaping kick, elastic belt exercise, football, basketball to the visitors. The activities not only fully demonstrated the enthusiastic and pioneering outlook of SPA students but also showcased the solidarity and effectiveness of sports work of SPA. During the activity, Principal Gao Ju came to the scene to express his warm welcome and gratitude to Chongqing delegation.
After the exhibition activity, the guests went to the meeting room on the fifth floor, where Shao Baoqin, director of Fundamental Subjects Department of SPA, elaborated the implementation of sports work of SPA and Lin Guoxin expounded on the philosophy of sports work of SPA. The delegation fully affirmed SPA's sports work. They unanimously thought that the importance that SPA leaders have been attaching to the sports work lays a solid foundation for the further implementation of the task. Physical education has irreplaceable effects on both moral education and the building of sound and healthy physique, which is an important guarantee for fostering qualified workers. The people present also conducted exchanges on issues like physical exercise standards and students' obesity problems and so on.
During the visit by Chongqing Secondary Vocational Sports Association delegation, SPA demonstrated its sports work style and features, reinforced the exchanges between SPA and Shanghai Secondary Vocational Sports Association and laid a foundation for future communication, cooperation and learning.
