In order to further understand enterprise needs, deepen school-enterprise cooperation and better serve regional economy development, on the morning of Feb. 14, 2019, a group led by Zheng Ying, deputy Party secretary of Jinshan Education Bureau, and Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, visited Shanghai Qianghua Industrial Corporation. Ye Aimei, deputy Party secretary of Caojing Town, Xue Mei, chief of Vocational Education Department of Jinshan Education Bureau, Gu Leifan, deputy chief of Vocational Education Department of Jinshan Education Bureau, leaders from General Administration Office of SPA, Enrollment and Employment Office of SPA, Electromechanical Department of SPA and other related department attended the exchange symposium.
At the symposium, Zhou Wenhua, general manager of Shanghai Qianghua Industrial Corporation, introduced the company from the aspects of developmental history, industry orientation, market demand analysis, future development plans, etc. He expressed that with the enlargement of enterprise scale, the enterprise badly needs localized human resources reserves. So he hoped that the cooperation with SPA will fulfill the demands of talents needed by the enterprise.
Principal Gao Ju elaborated on SPA's fundamental situation, school-running features and other aspects. He noted that SPA has established and maintained close cooperation with many enterprises. SPA has also made complementary advantages of enterprises to promote the construction of majors and to foster qualified technical skilled talents for enterprises by jointly establishing classes named after enterprises, jointly constructing training bases, jointly fostering teaching teams, jointly creating dialogue mechanism, jointly cultivating enterprise employees, jointly seeking professional development, jointly holding skills competitions and jointly setting up fund, etc.
Ye Aimei, deputy Party secretary of Caojing Town, fully applauded the value that Shanghai Qianghua Industrial Corporation has placed on the school-enterprise cooperation. She expected that enterprises will strengthen the communication and exchanges with schools to address the problem of shortage of human resources and to achieve win-win results by efficiently establishing cooperation platforms.
Zheng Ying, deputy Party secretary of Jinshan Education Bureau, noted in her speech that vocational school is the booster of the development of regional economy, while enterprise is the soil in which vocational school is rooted. She demanded that school should actively adapt to the development of industry, know clearly about the demands of enterprises, and arrange visits to and practical training in enterprises for students to provide them with chances to understand enterprises in the region. Meanwhile, enterprises are expected to proactively participate in the talent cultivation of schools to make those future employees cater to the demands of enterprises. Through collaborative and interactive roles of school, enterprise and government, it is hoped that vocational education and regional economy will improve quickly.
After the symposium, the group visited the exhibition halls and production workshops of the enterprise. Shanghai Qianghua Industrial Corporation, which is located in Caojing Town, is a forerunner of private enterprise featuring China quartz industry. At present, the enterprise has a batch of young technical personnel. Abiding by the consistent management aim of the enterprise, it has been devoted to producing quartz glass products with high-purity, high-technology, high-quality and high-standard for semi-conductor, optical fibre, PV, etc. Up to now, the enterprise has obtained seven patents.
