INVISTA Nylon Chemicals (China) Co., Ltd. Visits SPA to Discuss Cooperation

On March 14, 2019, in order to broaden the cooperative scale and scope with Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and to fulfill the demands of talents and training in the development of the enterprise, a 3-member group led by Chen Mingbin, Operations Director of China ADN Project of INVISTA Nylon Chemicals (China) Co., Ltd., visited SPA to discuss cooperation.

Principal Gao Ju met with the guests warmly. Gao Ju briefed on the distinctive features in running the school and outstanding achievements the school has made in school-enterprise cooperation. Chen Mingbin elaborated on the basic situation of INVISTA and the demands of talents. He especially noted that in order to satisfy the needs of the development of the industry, the enterprise has invested over 1 billion dollars to prepare to construct a new world-class ADN plant with the latest technology in Shanghai, so a great number of high-quality first-line operators are urgently needed. Both sides exchanged ideas on priorities and difficulties in the process of talent cultivation, career plan for both students and employees, joint cultivation of vocational personnel, joint training of enterprise employees, etc. A series of important consensuses have been preliminarily reached. Both sides agreed to further strengthen collaboration and communication, formulate school-enterprise strategic cooperation agreement as soon as possible, further explore the training of order-oriented first-line technical personnel with internationalized high criteria urgently needed by the enterprise, develop viable approaches to promote SPA teachers' enterprise practice and to jointly foster talents with enterprise experts as well, adopt efficient ways to provide pre-occupational and post-occupational training for the first-line operators and intermediate talents.

During the visit, the guests were shown around SPA's History Museum, Chemical Industry and Human Science Exhibition Hall, Cross-Enterprise Training Center and Chemical Open Training Center.

Huang Xinlin, HR Director of INVISTA Nylon Chemicals (China) Co., Ltd., Yao Ting, HR Specialist of INVISTA Nylon Chemicals (China) Co., Ltd., Huang Hanjun, Vice-Principal of SPA, Shao Zhe, Director of Chemical Engineering Department of SPA, Tang Lianxi, Director of Enrollment and Employment Office of SPA, and other related leaders and teachers attended the discussion. The cooperation between SPA and INVISTA is bound to push the school-enterprise cooperation to a new height. SPA vows to make full use of the cooperation with more international companies to accelerate the internationalization of specialties and to elevate pre-occupational and post-occupational coordinated development to a new stage.
