At 12:30 on March 29, 2019, distinguished guests and friends of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy filled up the second floor of the Chemical Engineering Training Building of SPA, where 2019 School-running Steering Committee Work Conference was grandly held. Representatives and guests from over 40 enterprises which have had cooperation with SPA were invited to attend the conference. Gao Ju, principal of SPA, Lin Guoxin, Party secretary of SPA and directors and teachers from related departments of SPA attended the conference, which was presided over by Wu Yongguan, director of Enrolment and Employment Office of SPA.
First of all, Lin Guoxin delivered a welcome speech. He extended sincere thanks to all the enterprises which have provided firm and great support to school development on behalf of SPA. Only through in-depth school-enterprise cooperation can both sides achieve mutual development and win-win results. Lin Guoxin recalled the development history of school-enterprise cooperation. This year marks the 20th anniversary since SPA established the first cooperative agreement with enterprises. With the firm support from enterprises and gradual expansion of cooperation, SPA has made great advancements in building its specialties, improving the overall strength of the school and creating brighter employment opportunities for all the graduates. At present, SPA is conducting further cooperation with BASF and other enterprises by implementing German dual model to make vocational education stronger.
Qi Yue, recruitment officer of HR of Shanghai Hanbell Precise Machinery Co., LTD., Peng Haijun, deputy manager of Integrated Management Department of Zhejiang Satellite Energy Co., LTD., Huang Rongting, business partner of HR of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai shared their experiences and ideas on behalf of their own enterprise, respectively. Qi Yue shared the experiences and gains of cooperation with SPA by setting up "Hanbell AHK International Class". Hanbell is satisfied with the performance of internships. He hoped to maintain closer cooperation with SPA. Zhejiang Satellite Energy Co., LTD. is located in Zhejiang Dushan Port Development Zone. SPA enrolls students from Jiaxing every year, most of whom return to their hometown to serve the regional development of Zhejiang after graduation. Peng Haijun expected more graduates will choose to develop their careers at Dushan Port. Covestro is a large and renowned enterprise located in SCIP. Out of all the 1300-plus employees of Covestro, half of the operators were graduated from SPA. Huang Rongting shared the 17-year cooperative benefits of talent cultivation model and the present personal and professional development of Covestro employees who were cultivated by SPA.
Shen Chenyang, director of Academic Affairs of SPA, made a report on teaching and management of SPA to all the guests present. The fundamental abilities of teaching, education and research have been greatly improved. New majors have been explored. Teachers' teaching abilities and students' comprehensive vocational qualities have been gradually elevated. SPA has been focusing on the building of basic strength. School's overall running abilities have been widely recognized by all the sectors of the society. SPA has a complete and advanced school-running curriculum system. These years, it has made great achievements in specialties building, faculty capabilities, students' academic level examinations, technical skills, etc.
Zhu Xinwei, deputy director of Students' Affairs Division, introduced the management of students in the past year, which features ceremony education, daily routine education, campus theme day activity education, scholarship and moral activity awards. SPA insists on cultivating students' practical abilities and vocational skills, emphasizing vocational awareness and focusing on the importance of basic norms.
Principal Gao Ju extended sincere gratitude to all the guests for their consistent support. He introduced the achievements which have been made in the past year. SPA has been exploring school-enterprise for a long time by innovatively accelerating industry-education combination, proactively expanding the breadth, depth and strength of cooperation to efficiently build up a community with a shared future for school and enterprises. These years, SPA has established cooperation with more domestic and international renowned enterprises. The cooperation contents involve setting up classes named after enterprises, implementing order-oriented cultivation model, developing a positive eight-in-one development mechanism featuring "jointing establishing classes named after enterprises, jointly constructing training bases, jointly fostering teaching teams, jointly creating dialogue mechanism, jointly cultivating enterprise employees, jointly seeking professional development, jointly holding skills competition and jointly setting up fund". School-enterprise cooperation has helped to cultivate numerous highly-qualified frontline technical talent for regional development. SPA has become the highland of Jinshan vocational education and the incubator of craftsmanship.
