In order to strengthen communication and cooperation of vocational education between Shanghai and Zunyi, on April 18, 2019, Wang Qiang, principal of Zunyi Honghuagang Secondary Vocational School, visited SPA. Principal Gao Ju and Party Secretary Lin Guoxin warmly met with the guests from afar.
Gao Ju made an introduction to SPA entitled "Implement National Vocational Education Reform Project; Climb Vocational Education New Highland" to the guests. He elaborated on three aspects, namely, SPA's basic information, school-running characteristics and future development plans.
Wang Qiang introduced basic situation of Zunyi Honghuagang Secondary Vocational School. He thought that, compared with Shanghai, Zunyi still lags behind in many fields, including education facilities, informatization, school-running principles. Since Shanghai-Zunyi Vocational Education Union was established, 12 schools in Zunyi have signed pairing agreements with schools in Shanghai. Cooperation and assistance have been implemented via financial support, student exchanges, teacher training, etc. to share teaching resources and to achieve joint construction and mutual benefits. Wang Qiang hoped to conduct deeper communication for the forthcoming cooperation between the two schools.
Gao Ju promised that SPA will actively respond to national policies, join Shanghai-Zunyi Vocational Education Union, implement cooperation in specialty construction, teachers training, Party building work, etc., give full play to advantages of both schools, and jointly cultivate high-quality skilled technical personnel catering to the needs of modern industry. Lin Guoxin noted that, based on the circumstances of the two schools, they can carry out cooperation in specialty such as electromechanical specialty, adopt "1+2" cooperation mode, make complementary advantages, improve school-running level and finally advance the ability of serving regional economy. Wang Qiang pointed out that the successful cooperation mode among Shanghai-Zunyi Vocational Education Union will provide basis reference for the cooperation to be implemented between SPA and Zunyi Honghuagang Secondary Vocational School. They will make meticulous and substantial preparations for the cooperation to ensure success and satisfy parents and students.
Accompanied by SPA leaders, the guests visited History Museum of SPA, Chemical Industry & Human Science Exhibition Gallery, Cross-enterprise Training Center and Numerical Control Training Center.
Shanghai-Zunyi Vocational Education Union was founded in 2016. All the member units have fully exerted their respective advantages, proactively explore new modes of vocational education of the two regions, advance industry-education combination, and achieve the goal of sharing resources and complementing each other. With the aim of boosting targeted poverty alleviation and serving east-west vocational education cooperation, SPA staunchly joins Shanghai-Zunyi Vocational Education Union.
