On April 24, 2019, a group led by Gu Zhun, dean of Medical Science and Technology at Suzhou Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology, visited SPA. Principal Gao Ju received the guests warmly.
In the course of discussion and exchanges, Gu Zhun made a brief introduction to Suzhou Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology, adding that they expected to learn from SPA's advanced experience in dual cultivation mode of talent in the field of chemical specialty to advance the dual system of teaching reform of the institute.
Miao Xiangyang, director of Dual System Office of Medical Science and Technology at Suzhou Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology, elaborated on the frustration and dilemma in the process of substantial implementation of dual talent cultivation. There are a number of problems to be solved. How will school cooperate with enterprises during dual talent cultivation? How will dual system class win recognition from students and parents? How will the teaching force of dual mode be solved?
Gao Ju briefed the guested on SPA's fundamental situation and shared SPA's experience of construction and promotion of AHK (China) Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base with the guests. Gao Ju noted that during the course of implementation of localization of German Occupational Qualification Standards, not only renowned German-funded enterprises, like BASF, Covestro, but also enterprises like Hanbell, Santoni, Hola Automotive have been providing firm support and active participation. Gao Ju thought teachers' deep understanding of dual system talent cultivation project is a vital premise of localization of German Occupational Qualification Standards, so teachers should transform thinking, improve abilities and then execute implementation.
The group visited History Museum of SPA, Chemical Industry & Human Science Exhibition Gallery, Cross-enterprise Training Center, Numerical Control Training Center and Chemical Engineering Training Building. Gu Zhun said that the trip to SPA is fruitful, because industry-education combination and dual cultivation of SPA left a deep impression on them. He earnestly hoped to strengthen exchanges and communication with SPA to advance the smooth implementation of dual system teaching reform at Suzhou Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology.
