On May 11th, 2019, in order to enrich the connotation of school-enterprise cooperation, to improve vocational education and vocational training, and to achieve mutual benefits and common development, SPA and Santoni successfully held Equipment Donation Ceremony of Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd. & Unveiling Ceremony of Production and Teaching Integration Joint Training Room. Wu Ying, deputy director of Jinshan Education Bureau, Gianpietro Belotti, CEO of Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd., Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, Lin Guoxin, Secretary of CPC SPA Committee, and other related leaders of SPA attended the signing ceremony.
Gao Ju introduced SPA's development and transformation in his remarks. Shanghai Petrochemical Academy has been adhering to production and education integration, creating an eight-in-one school-enterprise development community, innovatively accelerating the internationalization of specialties, forming a new mechanism for running vocational education with the four-in-one system of "government, industry, enterprise and school", and constructing a localized dual talent training model with international first-class standards. Gao Ju recalled the school-enterprise cooperation from jointly setting up Santoni International Class, establishing scholarships and implementing teachers' off-site practice, etc. to co-constructing production-teaching joint training room and further enhancing talent cultivation. He earnestly hoped that SPA teachers and students will take the unveiling of joint training room as a new starting point to continuously deepen school-enterprise cooperation, substantially improve international construction of specialties and consolidate the quality of talent cultivation. Gianpietro Belotti sang highly of SPA's high-standard localized talent dual cultivation. He fully applauded the beneficial exploration of deepening industry and education integration between Santoni and SPA in the past three years. He expected that both sides will conduct more cooperation and write a new chapter of cultivating highly-skilled talents under the background of Industry 4.0 to promote school-enterprise mutual development.
At the signing ceremony, Gao Ju and Gianpietro Belotti signed the equipment donation agreement on behalf of SPA and Santoni respectively. Wu Ying and Gianpietro Belotti unveiled the plaque of Production and Teaching Joint Training Room.
Wu Ying pointed out that Jinshan District is carrying out the spirit of a number of documents such as the Implementation Plan for National Vocational Education Reform. She was very glad to see that Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and Santoni complement each other's strengths and win-win situation and expand the cooperation of co-construction of production and teaching joint training room. Jinshan District Education Bureau will also fully support the cooperation between the school and the enterprise. It is expected the SPA will fully learn from the advanced vocational education experience of developed countries, explore and innovate the operation mode of the training base, further enhance the vitality of the school, form a Jinshan vocational education mode with remarkable characteristics, which can be popularized, and provide high-quality human resources support for the implementation of the strategic positioning of "two areas and one fort", speeding up the construction of "three districts and five places" and the overall construction of "Three Jinshan".
After the ceremony, SPA leaders and teachers and Santoni leaders and employees played a football friendly. Wu Ying, as well as teachers and students of SPA, watched the football friendly with great interest. During the match, the football players showed exquisite football skills and presented excellent cooperation spirit. The exciting match showcased style and friendship, which not only enriched the spiritual life of SPA and Santoni employees but also provided a platform for strengthening school-enterprise cultural exchanges. Such kind of activity will further improve mutual understanding , trust and friendship of both sides.
In the new situation of the current great development of vocational education, the newly-promulgated Implementation Plan for National Vocational Education Reform requires definitely: "Facing the shortage of technical and skilled talents in advanced manufacturing industry, we should coordinate various resources, build some high-level professional training bases with a leading role, promote open sharing, and radiate schools and enterprises in the region". Today, the establishment of the Production and Teaching Integration Joint Training Room between the school and the enterprise is an important measure for both sides to implement the new requirements for the development of vocational education.
