SPA Wins the Group Second Prize in the "Robotic Technology Application" of 2019 National Vocational Students Skills Competition (Secondary Vocational Group)

From May 21 to May 22, 2019, the "Robotic Technology Application" of 2019 National Vocational Students Skills Competition (Secondary Vocational Group) was held in Wuxi Machinery and Electron Higher Professional and Technical School. 118 teams comprising 236 contestants competed for the prizes. Zhou Xiaohui and Ye Guangze from Shanghai Petrochemical Academy represented Shanghai team and won the group second prize in the Robotic Technology Application of 2019 National Vocational Students Skills Competition. Their superb skills and rigorous attitude demonstrated their fine vocational professionalism and tacit teamwork.

On the morning of May 23, 2019, the closing ceremony of the "Robotic Technology Application" of 2019 National Vocational Students Skills Competition (Secondary Vocational Group) was held in the conference hall of Garden Hotel in Wuxi.


During the competition, Chen Lijuan from the Shanghai Education Commission came and visited the contestants and the coaches of Shanghai team. Huang Hanjun, vice principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, came to the competition venue to provide encouragement for the contestants of SPA. XuWeidong, director of the Electromechanical Department of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, acted as the leader of the team and XuWenming from the Electromechanical Department was selected as the coach.

With industrial robots as the core unit, the robotic technology application competition involves a lot of advanced technology applications, like PLC, HMI, pneumatic control technology, sensor technology, intelligent visual inspection technology. With the background of the typical application of industrial robots in electronic production industry, it covers the assessment of machinery, electrical installation and adjustment, repair and maintenance, typical coating, stacking, sorting, assembling, etc.

This competition implemented the theory of "competition promoting teaching, learning and reform", further deepened the vocational education reform, promoted the integration of talent cultivation and industry development, reinforced the influence and attraction of vocational education, further highlighted the popularity of National Vocational Students Skills Competition and provided a platform for teachers to showcase their demeanor and for students to pursue their dreams, which is also a higher benchmark for the teaching of vocational education and intelligent manufacturing.
