In order to implement the cooperation agreement between Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City, to promote the cooperation between the two schools and to jointly contribute to the cause of the development of vocational education, on June 13, 2019, a 4-member group led by Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, visited Zunyi. Wang Qiang, principal of Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City, Luo Ming, deputy Party secretary of CPC of the school, Zhou Yinquan, vice principal, Long Yongjiang, vice principal and other school leaders met with the visitors warmly.
At the seminar, Principal Wang Qiang introduced the basic information of Zunyi Vocational Education Center and Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City. Zunyi Vocational Education Center focuses on the construction of "Secondary Vocational Strong Base" project, sets forth clear development goals, strives to create characteristic specialty of Guizhou and accelerates the capability of the service and the development of vocational education. Wang Qiang explicitly introduced the specialty construction and the course setup of Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City. The school has been proactively exploring new ways of school-enterprise cooperation and education-industry combination, carrying out the school-running model of "Industry Zone" + "Standardized Plant" + "Vocational Education", and has achieved a series of successful results. Wang Qiang also pointed out that during the process of development, the school encounters with a lot of problems and pressure, such as, how to make classroom teaching suit students of different levels and abilities, how to make specialty setup practically conform to the needs of enterprises, how to make course setup substantially improve students' overall attainment, how to deepen school-enterprise cooperation. Principal Gao Ju briefly introduced the basic information of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and analyzed the dilemma facing vocational education. Gao Ju emphasized that the essence of education is people-oriented; the ambition of education is to enable the students to acquire the ability of life-long study and development. Both sides also talked about the forthcoming cooperation in running schools, the adoption of 1+2 model and the joint enrolment of students majoring in electromechanical specialty.
Next, with the company of the leaders of Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City, Gao Ju and his party visited the training rooms of electromechanical, vehicle maintenance and repair, information service and psychological guidance room. During the visit, Gao Ju carefully listened to Long Yongjiang's introduction to school's electromechanical specialty construction. Gao Ju sang highly of the humanistic accomplishment of the teachers and the students of Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City and the school-enterprise cooperation projects already implemented in the school. Meanwhile, to help solve the problems, Gao Ju put forward some constructive proposals and solutions and discussed with the leaders of Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City about the feasibility.
In the afternoon, after observing classroom teaching of Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City, Shao Baoqin and Lu Juan held extensive and deep exchanges with department leaders respectively. Both sides exchanged views on students, course setup, class schedule, teaching content, teachers' training, fundamental courses serving professional courses, optimization of teaching and education standardized management, etc. and reached preliminary consensus, which will be implemented step by step in the near future.
At last, Principal Gao Ju made a speech themed "Shanghai & Zunyi Collaborate to Jointly Create a Bright Future of Vocational Education" to all the leaders of the four schools located in Zunyi Vocational Education Center. Gao Ju introduced in detail the development course, school-running features, specialty construction, school-enterprise cooperation and school-running achievements of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy. He earnestly expected the two schools to abide by the principles of "complementary advantages, resources sharing, mutual benefits, common development" and to collaborate to create a brighter future. Fruitful results of cooperation are expected to realize and the development path of Secondary Vocational School in Honghuagang District of Zunyi City will be wider and wider.
The exchange provides more practical and feasible methods and ways for the cooperation of the two schools, which helps to strengthen the understanding of each other. It is also a concrete implementation of "Shanghai & Zunyi Vocational Education Alliance Articles" spirit, regional cooperation and the exertion of high quality education resources, laying a solid foundation for the future cooperation.
