On August 13, 2019, in order to implement national Yangtze River Delta integration development strategy and to further promote the exchange and mutual learning from each other in vocational education field, a dozen leaders from Changshu Education Bureau, Changshu Advanced Materials Industrial Park and Changshu Riverside Vocational School visited Shanghai Petrochemical Academy to explore high-quality development strategy of vocational schools. Principal Gao Ju and Vice Principal Huang Hanjun met with the group warmly.
At the meeting, Gao Ju elaborated on the 40-year development course and school-running achievements and shared characteristic methods and successful experience of SPA's school-enterprise cooperation and international construction of specialty. Zhao Minghua, vice director of Changshu Education Bureau who is in charge of vocational education, recalled the past communication and exchanges of vocational education in two districts. He expressed urgent expectation for further expediting cooperation between vocational schools. Xia Jianxiang, director of Social Services Bureau of Changshu Advanced Materials Industrial Park, introduced the pivotal projects of the industrial park and expressed their urgent need for skilled personnel to promote the development of the industrial park. He sincerely hoped to learn from the advanced experience of Shanghai vocational education to beef up local production-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation. Xu Lijuan, principal of Changsha Riverside Vocational School, introduced the basic information of the school. She expected to learn from the rich experience of AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base to explore effective ways of cooperation between vocational schools in two districts. Both sides also conducted deep discussion on school-enterprise cooperation strategy, AHK certification, teachers' exchange and training, etc. They both expressed the nice wish of deepening learning and communication to jointly contribute to promoting the integrated development and cooperation of vocational education in Yangtze River Delta.
The Changshu inspection group also visited School History Museum, Chemical Industry and Human Science Gallery, Cross-enterprise Training Center and Chemical Engineering Training Building. During the trip, the visitors knew more about the construction, operation and management of the training rooms. They applauded the advanced practical training facilities and rich management experience and expressed their urgent wish to further conduct school-school cooperation.
