On August 21, 2019 World Robot Conference——Intelligent Manufacturing and Industry-Education Integration Themed Forum was held at Beijing Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center. Lu Xin, member of the national committee of CPPCC, president of Vocational and Technical Pedagogy of China, former Deputy Minister of Education attended the conference and made a keynote speech.
He Pijie, member and deputy secretary-general of the standing committee of the national committee, Gong Ke, vice chairman of the China Electronic Society and president-elect of World Federation of Engineering Organizations, Wang Yangnan, executive vice president of Chinese Vocational and Technical Education of Ministry of Education, Chen Feng, vice president of Chinese Vocational and Technical Education Society and director of School Planning and Construction Development Center of Ministry of Education, and other leaders from Ministry of Industry and Information, State Post Officce, local people’s government, relevant industries and enterprises, vocational schools, scientific research institutions and media representatives, more than 200 persons in total, attended the forum.
The forum comprised of themed speeches and summit dialogue. In the keynote speech session, Lu Xin made a speech titled “AI drives education transformation and innovation”. She thought that with the coming of the Intelligent + era, education is facing great changes. Leaders from Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and other seven companies and universities made themed speeches, respectively.
As the only secondary vocational school representative, Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, made a theme speech titled “Deepen Industry-Education Integration, Climbing Vocational Education Peak”. Shanghai Petrochemical Academy has been persisting in the fundamental task of “Morality First” and grasping the direction of running the school by means of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation. Gao Ju also shared the characteristic approaches of “Eight into One” school-enterprise cooperation development community with the concerted help of many renowned enterprises at home and abroad. Learning from German dual system vocational education mode, SPA has formed indigenous dual talent cultivation model with international standards. At present, SPA has pioneered an open and distinctive path of national vocational education reform and development demonstration school.
During the summit dialogue session, leaders from eight schools and enterprises had excellent interaction about intelligent manufacturing and industry-education integration. In the afternoon, all the guests visited World Robot Conference on-site exhibition and World Robot Contest and had interactive experience activities of robot and intelligent manufacturing.
It is reported that this forum composed an important part of 2019 World Robot Conference, which is aimed to implement “National Industry-Education Integration Construction Pilot Implementation Plan”, accelerate education first development approach, talent driving development, and industrial innovative development. The forum focuses on industry-education integration experience and developmental demands of vocational schools and intelligent manufacturing enterprises. The forum is hosted by Chinese Vocational and Technical Education Society and undertaken by Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Chengdu Pujiang County People’s Government.
