On Sept. 29, 2019, the opening ceremony of 181 Covestro Class was grandly held in the meeting room of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai. The attendees include Mei Dong, Head of P&T CAS, Linda Wang, Senior HR BP CTO CN, Celia Chen, Assistant to Head of P&T, Alan Qu, DS Trainer, Tobby Sun, Production Supervisor, Jacky Liu, Lead Trainer, Kaka Lu, Lead PUR/CAS Shuttling Scheduler, Sally Huang, HR BP, Gao Ju, Principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, Yan Xiaoli, Director of the Chemical Engineering Department of SPA, Qi Aiqing, Deputy Director of the General Administration Office of SPA, Zhu Wenwen and Zhou Huijuan, class teachers of 171 Covestro Class and 181 Covestro Class and 53 Covestro Class students.
At the opening ceremony, Mei Dong shared three tips for success. First, only the rapid development of industry can promote the fast development of the country. So, the development of the enterprise depends on the development and growth of every employee. Second, we should keep curious and keep hungry. Curiosity can make us advanced. Third, make progress every day.
Principal Gao Ju delivered a speech, in which he recalled the nearly twenty years' cooperation with Covestro, ranging from the signing of cooperative framework to the deepening of school-enterprise cooperation, from Covestro Cup Vocational Skills Competition to Meister Certification Class. The school-enterprise cooperation is closer and broader. Gao Ju extended his sincere thanks to Covestro for providing SPA students with a bigger platform and firm support. He also hoped for smoother cooperation with Covestro.
Zhou Huijuan said that more responsibility means more determination and persistence. She encouraged the students to face difficulties and challenges fearlessly, to study hard, to keep healthy and to try to be a qualified Covestro employee in the near future. Yu Yiyang and Li Zhihao, student representatives from 171 Covestro and 181 Covestro Class, made a speech, respectively. They thanked SPA and Covestro for the opportunities and promised to live up to the expectations of school and enterprise on behalf of all the classmates.
At last, all the attendees took a group photo. Some Covestro employees who were graduated from SPA shared their experience with the students cordially.
The opening ceremony marks a new chapter of school-enterprise cooperation. It is expected that all the Covestro students will cherish the learning opportunity presented by SPA and Covestro. Only through hard work can one realize his dream.
