On April 21, a seven-member group led by Li Weidong, director of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Training and Exchange Placement Center and Wu Guokui, deputy director of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Training and Exchange Placement Center visited Shanghai Petrochemical Academy. Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, met with the visitors warmly.
With the company of Gao Ju, they visited SPA’s School History Museum, Chemical Industry and Human Science Galley, Numerical Control Open Training Center and Chemical Engineering Training Building to have a detailed understanding of construction and use of the training rooms. The visitors highly hailed SPA’s teaching and education work featuring making full use of training facilities and integrating theory with practice to foster students’ overall qualities.
After the campus tour, both sides conducted exchanges and communication in the meeting room of the Chemical Engineering Training Building. Gao Ju introduced SPA’s specialty setup, school-running strategies, future development and plan. etc, to the guests, especially emphasizing the current priorities of school work like implementing training for enterprises and building training and certification base commissioned by Jinshan Emergency Management Bureau. Li Weidong said that SPA has made tremendous achievements in promoting school-enterprise cooperation and production-education combination and accumulated rich experience in fostering excellent chemical first-line operators, so both sides have broad cooperation prospects. He sincerely expected to further strengthen collaboration, complement each other to share resources and train talented technical personnel for the development of regional economy. Gao Ju said he is also looking forward to sincere cooperation to beef up the implementation of various key work such as the cultivation of students and the training of employees.
