On May 16th, in order to further implement the spirit and requirements of 《the Implementation Proposals on High-risk Industry Safety Skills Improvement Action Plan》 issued by the country and 《the Implementation Proposals on High-risk Industry Safety Skills Improvement Action Plan》 issued by the Shanghai Municipal Government, the preliminary competition of the 1st Jinshan Hazardous Chemicals Industry Safety Skills Competition themed “Improve the Safety Skills of the Chemical Workers, Strengthen Safety Responsibility of Hazardous Chemicals Industry” was successfully held in SPA. Teams from 125 hazardous chemicals enterprises took part in the preliminary competition.
The competition was hosted by Shanghai Jinshan Federation of Trade Unions, Jinshan Emergency Management Bureau and Jinshan No. 2 Industrial Park, undertaken by Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and co-organized by Shanghai Chemical Vocational Education Group, Jinshan Vocational Education Group and Jinshan Petroleum and Chemical Industry Society.
The Organizing Committee of the 1st Jinshan Hazardous Chemicals Industry Safety Skills Competition actively made preparations for the success of the competition to accelerate the cultivation of a team of technicians and first-line operators with excellent professional skills and all-round safety consciousness and to provide talent reserve for the healthy development of enterprises. Since the onset of the competition, all hazardous chemicals enterprises proactively responded, meticulously selected contestants and took part in the competition. During the preliminary contest, all the contestants kept calm and confident and fully displayed fine technical skills and knowledge.
It is scheduled that 32 teams will enter the qualified competition. The competition provides a platform for the contestants to compete and exchange skills and experience with each other, which will eventually stimulate the interest in learning knowledge and promoting skills, further improve the safety skills of hazardous chemicals industry and fully demonstrate the fine, positive and pioneering spiritual outlook of chemical workers.
