The year of 2020 marks the 19th National Safe Production Month. With “Eliminate Security Risks, Build Security Lines” as the activity theme, on June 5, Jinshan Committee Office, Jinshan Federation of Trade Unions and Jinshan No. 2 Industrial Park jointly held the launching ceremony of Jinshan 2020 Safe Production Month and the final competition of the 1st Jinshan Hazardous Chemicals Industry Safety Skills Competition in Shanghai Petrochemical Academy.
Shen Weizhong, deputy director of Shanghai Emergency Management Bureau, Zhang Quanquan, deputy chief of Jinshan District, Zhu Xilin, Chairman of Jinshan Federation of Trade Unions attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Zhang Quanquan, deputy chief of Jinshan District, declared the opening of the launching ceremony of Jinshan 2020 Safe Production Month and the final competition of the 1st Jinshan Hazardous Chemicals Industry Safety Skills Competition.
Xu Feng, director of Jinshan Emergency Management Bureau, deployed the activity of Jinshan 2020 Safe Production Month. It is expected to enhance universal emergency management awareness, improve public safety quality, boost capability of disaster prevention, elimination and relief, prevent various safety accidents from happening, accelerate safe production level and ensure the stable improvement of safety production situation. Wang Xiangtian, general manager of Jinshan No. 2 Industrial Park, Xu Jun, Party secretary and president of INOV Group delivered a speech as representative of host unit and participating enterprise respectively.
As the organizing unit, Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, gave a speech, featuring the school-running principles and achievements like school-enterprise cooperation, production-education integration, internationalization, localization and innovation of dual talent cultivation model. He pledged to organize the competition with high standards and strict requirements.
At the launching ceremony, individual and group prizes of 2019 “An Kang Cup”, “Xin Gong Qiao Jiang”, and “Worker Pioneers” were presented. 15 new experts of Jinshan Safety Committee were officially appointed.

He highly hailed the 1st Jinshan Hazardous Chemicals Industry Safety Skills Competition and made further requests for the activity of Jinshan Safe production Month. He sincerely hoped that the implementation of the activity of Safe Production Month should be integrated with acceleration of vocational skills, current important tasks and priorities like targeted implementation of prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, safety and standardization of resumption of work and production, three-year action plan for special regulation on production safety, reinforcement of safe production responsibility at all levels to substantially boost Jinshan safe production situation.
After the launching ceremony, 17 teams out of 353 first-line employees from 125 Jinshan hazardous chemicals enterprises competed for the final prizes. They focused their attention, cooperated with one another, operated according to standards and requirements and demonstrated fine safe production skills and professionalism. Leaders and guests of the ceremony watched the final competition.
The final competition is composed of three events , namely, chemical safety simulation operation, HSE operations conducted in confined space and high above ground, pipeline fault handling.
Leaders from Director Unit of Jinshan Safety Committee Office, towns and industrial zones, participating enterprises, expert teams attended the ceremony.
