On July 27th, German Industry and Commerce Greater China (AHK) holds the Inaugural Meeting of AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocational Education Committee and 2020 Annual Conference of AHK Chemical Vocational Education Alliance. Presidents and professional teachers from alliance units attended the conference. Gao Ju, Principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, Huang Hanjun, Vice Principal, and more than a dozen teachers from Chemical Department of SPA attended the activity.
At the conference, Ms. Britta Buschfeld, director of Vocational Education of German Industry and Commerce Greater China, made a real-time wired welcome speech from Germany. She extended welcome to all the schools which have joined AHK Chemical Vocational Education Alliance. Meanwhile, she pledged to provide an international vocational education platform for all the alliance units to promote further development of communication and cooperation among schools and to support the cultivation of high quality chemical skilled and technological personnel.
Chen Liwei, deputy director of Vocational Education of German Industry and Commerce Greater China, presented AHK Sino-German Chemical Teaching Steering Committee Certificates to committee members including Gao Ju, principal of SPA. Yan Xiaoli accepted the plaque of “AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocation Education Alliance Unit” on behalf of SPA.
As chairman of AHK Sino-German Chemical Teaching Steering Committee, Principal Gao Ju delivered 2020 work report concerning AHK Meister training, hazardous chemical industry vocational training and certification, development of work pages and typical cases and construction of AHK Chemical Training Centers of AHK Alliance on behalf of AHK Sino-German Chemical Training Base. Gao Ju proposed that all alliance units should focus on information teaching, new technology application and five-cultivation integration principle in the process of localization of AHK standards.
During the results presentation, Vice Principal Huang Hanjun made a theme report named “Implementation and Introspection of Internationalization of Specialties”. He introduced objectives and meaning of AHK certificates, internationalization of chemical industry, localization of AHK Chemical Technologist, etc. Liu Dezhi from Dongying Vocational Institute and Yan Xiaoli from Shanghai Petrochemical Academy showcased teaching materials and work pages of “Technology Parameter Measurement” and “Chemical Profession General Knowledge”. Compared with traditional teaching materials, these materials which are in line with AHK standards not only absorb elements like security, standardization and team cooperation but also emphasize on students’ cultivation of comprehensive vocational professionalism. Digitalized resources developed together with teaching materials are highly praised by AHK and presidents of alliance units.
Presidents from alliance units also presented and shared their thoughts and ideas at the conference. They all thought that AHK Chemical Vocational Education Alliance guides the direction for chemical reform of various schools. In the follow-up, alliance units will persistently support the implementation of localization of AHK qualification standards of chemical specialty of their school. Under the guidance of AHK Sino-German Chemical Training Base, they will make the implementation of AHK dual vocational education localization more practical and efficient.
At last, Chen Liwei made a summary on behalf of AHK. AHK Vocational Education Alliance is expected to be built into an “inclusive, absorptive, integrated and innovative” platform which will greatly boost the communication and cooperation among vocational schools, improve the localization of standards, make continuous innovation and development and cultivate more professional personnel for economic and social transformation. Chen Liwei is convinced that under the leadership of AHK Sino-German Chemical Training Base, all the alliance units will collaborate with each other to create a brighter future for chemical vocational education.
