On August 14, Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai jointly held the Equipment and Accessory Donation Ceremony at the meeting room of the Administration Building of SPA. Dr. Ji Wenbin, head of HSEQ of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai, Hu Xinguo, manager of Foundation Department, Yin Xiaojun, head of Public Relations Department, Li Xiaoqiu, Recruitment Specialist, Chen Guo, deputy director of Equipment of Polycarbonate Department, Liu Dingfeng, training director of Coating Department, Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, Huang Hanjun, vice principal of SPA and teachers from General Affairs Office, Chemical Engineering Department, Vocational Skills Training Center, General Administration Office attended the activity.
At the ceremony, on behalf of all the staff of SPA, Gao Ju extended warm welcome to Dr. Ji Wenbin and other Covestro leaders for their coming and sincere gratitude to Covestro for its donation to support the development of vocational education. He noted that close cooperation between SPA and Covestro has been established and maintained via jointly setting up Bay Class, jointly establishing Bayer Training Room, jointly organizing Covestro Cup Vocational Skills Competition, jointly creating AHK Covestro Meister Class and donation of teaching materials this time. It is sincerely expected that both SPA and Covestro will take this donation of equipment and assessory as a new opportunity to further strengthen cooperation, explore new fields of cooperation, complement and share with each other in the fields of establishment of new-style higher vocational college and training and certification of hazardous chemical industry safety skills to achieve common development and prosperity.
Dr. Ji Wenbin mentioned that benevolence creates harmony and inherits virtue. Donation of equipment and accessory to help advance the development of vocational education is a charitable act of giving roses with a lingering fragrance, which is also what Covestro should do to promote and carry enterprise’s social responsibility. Dr. Ji felt it an honor to come to SPA on behalf of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai to explore efficient strategies of school-enterprise cooperation and to boost the current development of Covestro. He expected both sides will take donation of equipment and accessory as a new starting point to fully tap the advantages of SPA’s specialties and talents, further deepen cooperation, make new breakthrough in improvement of chemical industry safety skills certification and comprehensive capability of enterprise staff, strive to create a win-win model of sharing bilateral resources.
