On Sept. 16, in order to promote school-enterprise integration and to explore enterprise employment model, Entrepreneur Salon of Chamber of Commerce of Shanghai Jinshan No. 2 Industrial Park is grandly held in SPA. Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, Du Haiyan, deputy Party secretary of SPA, Dong Xiaodan, chief economist and manager of Industrial Services of Shanghai Jinshan No. 2 Industrial Park Development Co., LTD, and representatives from over 20 enterprises like Shanghai Jinshan Petrochemical Logistics Co., LTD, Shanghai Pujing Chemical Industry Co., LTD attended the activity.
All the attendees visited School History Museum, Chemical Industry and Human Science Exhibition Hall, Numerical Control Open Training Center, Cross-enterprise Training Center and Chemical Engineering Training Building to know about SPA's school-running history and operation of various training rooms. They all fully affirmed SPA's strategies such as theory-practice integration and concentration on cultivation of students' practical operation abilities.
During the exchange discussion, Gao Ju introduced the school from four aspects—brief information, school-running strategies, major achievements and future prospects. SPA has stuck to the road of school-enterprise cooperation and education-production integration, advanced German dual system model, established AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base, formed a teaching team with dual training capability, learned from German dual system model, created characteristic cross-enterprise training center, introduced international certification, localized German AHK vocational qualification standards, carried out Meister training,etc. At current, SPA is proactively preparing for the establishment of the new style higher vocational college and promoting Shanghai Emergency Management Training and Certification Base, so the school is experiencing its critical period of leapfrog development.
As SPA's cooperative partner, Wang Lili, deputy executive manager of Shanghai Dongda Chemical Co., Ltd., made a themed speech "School-Enterprise Cooperation; Win-Win Development" and shared the successful experience between INOV and SPA via various methods like signing school-enterprise cooperation agreement,carrying out new employee practical operation training, participating in football matches and unveiling the INOV Dongda Virtual Simulation Demonstration Training Base. The vitality the cooperation has instilled into the enterprise is tremendous. Representatives from Shanghai Pujing Chemical Industry Co., LTD and Shanghai Kumho-Sunny Plastics Co., Ltd. introduced their company respectively. They also expressed the urgent need for high-skilled technical personnel.
Enterprise representatives gave high praise for SPA graduates. They think SPA graduates have solid theoretical knowledge and strong practical skills. They are hardworking and have good attitude to learning. At the same time, the representatives put forward valuable suggestions on SPA's talent cultivation. Both sides conducted deep and heated communication on talent cultivation, cooperation model and practical training.
The activity greatly improves school-enterprise communication and exchanges, enabling the school to better understand the talent need of enterprises, have more confidence and firmer resolve to deepen school-enterprise cooperation and education-production integration, improve the quality of talent and eventually serve regional economic development.
