On Nov 24, Chen Qun, Deputy Mayor of Shanghai and Yu Lijuan, Deputy Secretary-General, made an inspection tour to Shanghai Petrochemical Academy. Wang Ping, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of Shanghai Education Commission, Xuan Fuzhen, Deputy Director of Shanghai Education Commission, Liu Jian, Deputy Secretary-General and Chief of Jinshan Distict, Zhang Difang, Deputy Chief of Jinshan District, accompanied the inspection tour.
With the company of Gao Ju, Principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and Lin Guoxin, Party Secretary of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, Chen Qun and the inspection group visited School History Museum, Cross-enterprise Training Center, AHK Sino-German Vocational Training Base and Shanghai Safety Skills Comprehensive Practical Training Demonstration Base and heard the report on school-running situation and development features of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy. During the tour, Gao Ju expounded on the continuous school-enterprise cooperation and the building of “eight into one” school-enterprise community with a shared future in the past forty years. Shanghai Petrochemical Academy has been adhering to innovating the internationalization of specialties and learning from advanced vocational education philosophy to form localized dual talent training model with international standards. SPA has been proactively carrying out the integration of education and training and has successfully established Shanghai Safety Skills Comprehensive Practical Training Demonstration Base and provided personnel guarantee for high-quality development of regional economy and society. Meanwhile, it has also made great efforts to serve the regional economy development strategy, fostered a great number of high-quality technical skilled personnel and played an important role in impacting the regions around Jinshan.
Chen Qun noted that Shanghai Petrochemical Academy has contributed a lot to the regional economic and social development for a long time and made great achievements in school-enterprise cooperation, specialty construction, talent cultivation, serving Jinshan, etc. It is expected that Shanghai Petrochemical Academy will speed up development, grasp the opportunity of the construction of Shanghai new-style higher vocational college, give full play to its school-running features, satisfy the practical need of regional economic and social development and set up an exemplary and promotional example. Chen Qun expressed that Shanghai Municipal Government will firmly support the development of Jinshan vocational education and substantially improve the serving ability of vocational education.
