In a bid to further implement the spirit of “Yangtze River Delta Regional Integration Development Plan Guidelines”, “China Education Modernization 2035”, “National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan”, “About Deepening Production-Education Integration Suggestions” and other documents issued by CPC Central Committee and the State Council to deepen the coordinated innovative development among government, industry, school and enterprise, serve the improvement and scientific innovation of chemical and pharmaceutical personnel in the Yangtze River Delta, strive to explore new models of integrated development of chemical and pharmaceutical industry and vocational education, and give play to the conditions of regional development. Under the guidance of National Petrochemical Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee and China Chemical Education Association, Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering joined hands with several enterprises and schools and successfully established Yangtze River Delta Chemical and Pharmaceutical Integration Industry Education Alliance. On Dec. 9, 2020, the inaugural conference of the alliance was officially held in Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering. Leaders and representatives from China Chemical Education Association, Education Department of Jiangsu Province, Administrative Committee of Changzhou Science and Education and secondary vocational schools, higher vocational schools, industry association, industry parks and enterprises from the Yangtze River Delta attended the inaugural conference. Shanghai Petrochemical Academy was among the invited.
Ren Yaosheng, director of National Petrochemical Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee and supervisor of China Chemical Education Association, announced the approval document of National Petrochemical Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee. The conference reviewed and passed the recommended list of the 1st chairman unit, vice-chairman units, member units and secretary-general and deputy secretary-general of Yangtze River Delta Chemical and Pharmaceutical Integration Industry Education Alliance. Li Xiongwei, President of Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering, was appointed as chairman of the alliance. Gao Ju, Principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, Shen Lei, Director of Skill Testing Center of Chemical Industry and other 12 invited guests were appointed as vice chairman.
At the inaugural conference, Jiang Yi, President of Corning Greater China and Xing Hui, Director of Education and Research Section of National Education Administration College delivered speeches respectively.
The establishment of Yangtze River Delta Chemical and Pharmaceutical Integration Industry Education Alliance will actively promote innovative education-production integration mechanism and connection of regional education chain, talent chain, industry chain and innovation chain, direct related industries and enterprises to deeply participate in the teaching reform of vocational education, exert the advantages of industry and enterprise in cultivating talent and advance the seamless connection of enterprise demand and talent cultivation. Meanwhile, reinforce the social service function of vocational schools in the region, pool superior scientific and technological resources together, strengthen the building of research and development team, encourage school talent to be integrated into regional enterprise or industry, consolidate the capability of serving local economic and social development, form the development paradigm of education-industry coordinated and interactive integration.
