On Feb. 8, prior to the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year, a five-person group led by Zhou Jun, Chief Expert of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited, visited Shanghai Petrochemical Academy to have discussions with SPA leaders and send lunar new year greetings. Lin Guoxin, Party Secretary of SPA, met with the guests. Other leaders of SPA and teachers from Vocational Skills Training Center and General Administration Office were at the attendance.
At the meeting, both sides had cordial and candid discussions and recalled the close and practical cooperation between Shanghai Petrochemical Academy and Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited in the past more than forty years. Great achievements have been made with joint efforts and at present both sides are facing the golden opportunity of transformation and development. It is expected that cooperation will be strengthened and new chapter will be written. On behalf of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited, Zhou Jun extended sincere gratitude to SPA for its contributions to the development of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited. He expounded on the development goal of a brand new company featuring energy chemicals and new materials, which aims to be first class at home and abroad. SPC has planned to speed up the layout of new energy and new materials and to actively create green chemicals. He sincerely expected that both sides will explore new cooperation ways, foster more skilled technical personnel and achieve win-win results.
Lin Guoxin thanked SPA for the long-term care and support of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited. Shanghai Petrochemical Academy will continue to contribute to high-quality vocational education, provide talent and intelligence support and substantially serve the economic and social development of the region by cooperating with SPC in such areas as the establishment of new higher vocational college and dual cultivation of skilled technical personnel.
