On April 15, 2021, a 12-member group headed by Zhang Hui, director and Party secretary of Shanghai Education Commission Supervision Office came to Shanghai Petrochemical Academy to have a joint study titled "Addressing Problems for the Mass; Searching New Development for the School" with Party Committee of SPA. Lin Guoxin, Party Secretary of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, and Huang Hanjun, vice principal of SPA, attended the study.
At the meeting, Lin Guoxin introduced school-running history to the leaders of Shanghai Education Commission. SPA has been keeping the principle of "Morality is Priority" and the mission of "cultivating talent for the Party and the country" in mind by focusing on culture to vigorously foster socialist builders and successors with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical and labor. Lin Guoxin noted that SPA has always strengthened the Party's overall leadership in education, focused on major tasks, reinforced Party building "Five Leadings", improved "Four Indices", created featured brands such as "SPA Staff Forum", "Dual Cultivation" and "Integrated Cultivation".
Huang Hanjun introduced the preparation work of Shanghai Industrial Vocational and Technical College from the aspects of need, feasibility, development plan and school-running features.
Dai Yong, Sun Lei and Fu Jianqin, deputy director of Shanghai Education Commission Supervision Office put forward constructive proposals and provided some practice and cases with reference value.
After seriously hearing the reports, Director Zhang Hui gave full affirmation to the idea of running the school and Party building work. She stressed that in the process of establishing a new college, SPA should set up a systematic plan, open up a new holistic view, consult cooperative issues with related regional and municipal departments, proactively optimize specialty setup and faculty allocation, actively promote production-education integration and establish a technical college which will train craftsmen adapting to the new era.
This joint study activity helps build a new bridge for Party building and communication, injecting energy into reinforcing school-running foundation, strengthening school-running connotation and boosting leapfrog development.
Prior to the meeting, the group visited SPA's School History Museum, Cross-enterprise Training Center, Electromechanical Training Building to know about the development and history of the school, the building of training bases and the management and operation of training facilities under the framework of school-enterprise cooperation.
