On July 5, 2021 Opening Ceremony of Evonik Greater China Chemical Operator Summer Camp was grandly held in the Chemical Comprehensive Training Building in Shanghai Petrochemical Academy. Chen Jinqiu, vice president of Operations and Base Management in Evonik Greater China, Chen Shufeng, general manager of Evonik Special Chemicals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Cheng Danian, vice president of Human Resources in Evonik North Asia, Gao Ju, principal of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, and Huang Hanjun, vice principal, attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Sun Kaifang from Evaluation and Development Department of Evonik Asia Pacific.
At the ceremony, Gao Ju introduced the basic situation of Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, and especially shared the key work of the school, such as developing internationalization, establishing AHK Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base, deepening school-enterprise cooperation, forming the school-enterprise cooperation mode, expanding the school-running level, and preparing to build Shanghai Industrial Vocational and Technical College.
Chen Jinqiu introduced the development of Evonik in 2021, reviewed the cooperation process between school and enterprise, and said that Shanghai Petrochemical Academy is an indispensable partner of Evonik. Chen Jinqiu encouraged the trainees to cherish this training opportunity, gain something through training, and constantly improve their operation skills and professional quality.
Yan Xiaoli, head of the Chemical Engineering Department of SPA, introduced the chemical engineering specialty of the school and the training content of the summer camp. After careful preparation by the school, this training will combine theory with practical training and incorporate AHK vocational training concept, covering rectification, energy partition, heat transfer, pumps and other professional contents.
At the end of the ceremony, 26 students from all over the country introduced themselves and expressed their good expectations for the summer training camp.
With the deepening of school-enterprise cooperation, Shanghai Petrochemical Academy has formed the school-enterprise cooperation education mode, among which co-training enterprise employees is one. The summer training camp for outstanding chemical operators organized by SPA in cooperation with Evonik started in 2008 and has been successfully held for 12 times so far. Through summer training camps, 398 excellent front-line employees of Evonik's subsidiaries in Greater China have been trained for many rounds of effective chemical related training, which has been highly praised by Evonik.
