In order to deepen school-enterprise cooperation and improve training quality, on November 24th, Xiao Jian and Jiang Jiachen, senior managers of BASF (China) Co., Ltd. visited Shanghai Petrochemical Academy. Principal Gao Ju warmly welcomed them.
Xiao Jian introduced the general situation of BASF Zhanjiang integration project. BASF Zhanjiang Integration Base is BASF's largest overseas investment project so far, with the total investment expected to be as high as 10 billion US dollars. Upon completion, it will become BASF's third largest integrated production base in the world. The base will be built by stages. The first plant will produce engineering plastics and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The first plant is expected to be put into operation in 2022, and the whole base is expected to be completed in 2030. Xiao Jian said that in order to meet the demand for skilled personnel of BASF Zhanjiang integration project and ensure the safe operation of the device, it is necessary to train new employees in safety skills, and he hoped that the cooperation between SPA and BASF would be strengthened to promote the effective development of the training work.
Gao Ju extended warm welcome to Xiao Jian and Jiang Jiachen and introduced the basic situation of AHK localized chemical industry professional standard training and safety skill upgrading training for employees in hazardous chemicals industry. Yan Xiaoli, head of Chemical Engineering Department, introduced the vocational training system, training and research standards and main construction results.
Accompanied by Gao Ju, Xiao Jian and Jiang Jiachen visited the school's Cross-enterprise Training Center, Numerical Control Open Training Center and Chemical Comprehensive Training Building to learn more about the equipment construction and operation of various training rooms and further exchanged training cooperation matters.
