On May 9th, good news came that our school won a special prize and a second prize in the 6th China Petroleum and Chemical Education and Teaching Achievements Appraisal.
In order to implement the spirit of “China's Education Modernization 2035” document and the spirit of the National Education Conference, promote the implementation of the fundamental task of educating people in virtue, strengthen the ability of education to serve the development of petroleum and chemical industries, and show the outstanding achievements made in the field of petroleum and chemical education in China, China Chemical Education Association issued the Notice on the Appraisal of the 6th China Petroleum and Chemical Education and Teaching Achievements to its member units in February this year (hereinafter referred to as the Notice). Teaching achievements presided over by a wide range of member units have been collected. And teaching materials or officially published teaching papers in public journals, etc. have been complied. The appraisal identifies the teaching achievements, teaching materials and papers that have participated in the appraisal respectively according to three levels: special level, first level and second level, among which the special level does not exceed 5% of the total number of applicants, the first level does not exceed 15% of the total number of applicants, and the second level does not exceed 30% of the total number of applicants.
Upon receiving the Notice, Shanghai Petrochemical Academy mapped out the plan of the school work, and decided that the Education Research Office would take the lead in organizing the work. At first, the Education Research Office of the school carefully studied the requirements of the Notice and extensively collected the results in the school. At the same time, based on the mastery of the existing education and teaching results of the school, it also carried out targeted mobilization. According to the education and teaching achievements declared by the school, our school first conducted a preliminary screening, and finally selected a paper and a teaching achievement to participate in the appraisal.
The selected education and teaching achievements have been first examined by the Working Committee of China Chemical Industry Education Association, the Working Committee of Vocational and Technical Education, reviewed by the expert committee and publicized. “Core Elements of German Dual Vocational Education System and Its Enlightenment” written jointly by Gao Ju and Zhu Wenjun won the special prize, and the team led by Gao Ju and Huang Hanjun won the second prize for “Deep Integration of Production and Education; Improvement of Safety Production Technology——Construction of Shanghai Safety Skills Comprehensive Training Demonstration Base”.
It is the first time that our school has participated in the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Education and Teaching Achievements Appraisal, and it is not easy to make achievements. Honor is an affirmation of our school's persistent practice in promoting professional reform and internationalization, and it is also an incentive for more exploration in the future. President Xi Jinping emphasized at the National Vocational Education Conference that vocational education has a bright future. The development of education needs more and more vocational educators to participate and invest, and the development of our school needs the joint efforts of all faculty and staff. It is believed that with the development of vocational education and the efforts of each of us, our school will make more outstanding achievements in the future!
