In accordance with the spirit of the document of Shanghai Education Commission's Notice (No.12 [2021] of Shanghai Education Commission) on the application and recommendation of Shanghai safe and civilized campus in the academic year 2019-2020, our school started to organize the application and selection of Shanghai Safe and Civilized Campus in the academic year 2019-2020, successfully passed the inspection and acceptance of the expert group, and established Shanghai Safe and Civilized Campus in the academic year 2019-2020.
On December 7th, 2021, a group of 4 from the expert group on Comprehensive Management of Campus and Surrounding Public Security of Shanghai Comprehensive Management Committee came to our school for the inspection and acceptance of Shanghai Safe and Civilized Campus in the academic year 2019-2020. Du Haiyan, deputy secretary of the Party committee and director of the Student Affairs Office of our school, and Pan Zhidong, director of the Security Department and deputy director of the Student Affairs Office, accompanied the whole process.
At the meeting, Du Haiyan gave a brief introduction on the highlights and features of our school's work of creating a safe and civilized campus. After listening to the brief report, the expert group made a comprehensive evaluation on the establishment of a safe and civilized campus in our school from four aspects: organization and leadership, safety precautions, campus culture and environmental construction. Through onsite inspection, interviews with school leaders, and checking materials, they concluded that the school leaders had attached great significance to this work which integrated a sound system, department coordination, clear responsibilities, and outstanding highlights.
After comprehensive evaluation, the inspection team affirmed the work of the establishment of a safe and civilized campus in our school, and thought that our school attached importance to the establishment of a safe and civilized campus, which has a sound system and a solid foundation. Incorporating this work into the school's annual work plan ensures the standardization of the work. School leaders can regularly carry out "reception day of Party members", which shows that school Party committee and administrative leaders can manage the school democratically. With the cooperation among departments, the school has established a co-construction relationship with the detention center of the Public Security Bureau, the Anti-terrorism Detachment, the Mengshan Road Police Station, the Petrochemical Street Judicial Office, the District Procuratorate and other judicial organs, as well as the local armed police force, and has made full use of these resources to carry out regular legal education activities for students. The technical defense construction of the school is invested heavily, so that the security level of the campus is high. The entrance and exit management is in place, and the security personnel management is standardized. It has distinctive features in guiding students to participate in safety management independently. At the same time, the expert group put forward opinions and suggestions on the specific problems existing in the creation and establishment of a safe and civilized campus and the improvement of the creation and establishment level.
The in-depth development of the establishment of a safe and civilized campus has effectively promoted the construction of risk prevention and control system in our school and optimized the campus and surrounding environment. Our school will also continue to adhere to strict daily management and implementation, and make unremitting efforts to create a safe, civilized and harmonious campus environment.
