On September 8th, Party Committee of the school held a Party members' meeting in the Conference Center to elect new Party Committee members. Gao Ju, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chen Xiaobin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Du Haiyan, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
Gao Ju delivered a speech on behalf of the newly-elected Party Committee members. He noted that it is imperative to improve ideological understanding, strengthen the Party's overall leadership over education, and fully implement the president's responsibility system under the leadership of the Party Committee. We should give full play to the leadership and political core role of the school Party Committee, and earnestly fulfill the leadership responsibility of “taking the direction, managing the overall situation, making decisions, fostering the leadership, leading the team and ensuring implementation. It is paramount to strengthen the sense of mission and responsibility, coordinate the epidemic the work of prevention and control, and the task of education and teaching, and effectively protect the safety and health of teachers and students. It is important to build an ideological defense line, adhere to the bottom line of honesty and integrity, the bottom line of teachers' morality and ethics, and the bottom line of epidemic prevention and control in seeking truth and innovation. We should carry out the Party's purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly, serve the teachers and students wholeheartedly, and solve their urgent problems. It is also significant to closely combine the reform and development of the school with national strategic needs, industry development needs and regional economic and social development, and promote the integration of industry and city. Gao Ju stressed that all Party members should further improve their political positions, change their ideas, contribute their wisdom to the third stage of pioneering work of the school, and embrace the successful holding of the 20th CPC National Congress with practical achievements.
The election of Party Committee members was carried out in strict accordance with the Implementation Opinions of Jinshan Education Party Committee on Doing an Earnest Job in the General Election of Grass-roots Party Organizations in 2022 (No.10 [2022] of Jinshan Education Party Committee), adhering to standards, strict selection and giving full play to democracy. Two comrades, Huang Hanjun and Yan Xiaoli, were directly elected as the new Party Committee members through competitive election.
