In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on vocational education, and stride forward towards building a new highland of vocational education in Shanghai and even the Yangtze River Delta region, on September 9th, the research activity of Building a New Highland of Vocational Education to Bolster the Integration and Development of Industry and City was held in our school. Leaders, experts and research team members from Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, Shanghai Zhongqiao Polytechnic University, Shanghai Food Science and Technology School, Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai, Shanghai Dongda Chemical Co. Ltd, Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd, Shanghai Bohai Catering Group Co., Ltd, etc, attended the event.
Gao Ju, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, Zhou Xiaofang, Vice President of Shanghai Zhongqiao Polytechnic University, and Jin Siyun, Principal of Shanghai Food Science and Technology School, introduced the situation of the school respectively, and expressed their opinions and suggestions on the construction of vocational education running mechanism, the innovation and development of school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration under the new situation.
Ji Wenbin, Deputy General Manager of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai, Wang Bailian, Director of Human Resources of Santoni (Shanghai) Knitting Machinery Co., Ltd. and other enterprise leaders and experts exchanged experiences and practices of school-enterprise cooperation and employment needs of enterprises, hoping that under the guidance of the government's policy support, school-enterprise will be deeply integrated to cultivate, attract and retain talents.
Ma Xiaolin, head of the research team and head of the Research Information Section of the Research Office of Jinshan District Committee, expressed the hope that the research will be goal-oriented, closely follow the strategic task of North-South Transformation in Shanghai and the strategic positioning of "Two Areas and One Bridgehead" in Jinshan District, closely align with and serve the industrial transformation and development of the area, enhance high-quality vocational education, and provide strong technical and skilled personnel support for regional economic and social development.
Vocational education, which links education and industry at each end, is the most direct and closest part of education that is linked to economic and social development. The current vocational education shoulders the important responsibility of cultivating diversified talents, inheriting technical skills and promoting employment and entrepreneurship, and plays an important role in promoting high-quality development. During the investigation, the participating parties conducted further communication and exchanged ideas on how to build a new highland of vocational education and help the integration and development of industry and city.
After the exchanges and discussion, the members of the research group visited the School History Museum, the Exhibition Hall of Chemical Industry and Human Science Popularization, the Cross-enterprise Training Center and other venues, and learned about students' practical training and employees' training on the spot.
