In order to further strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, deepen the integration of production and education, and promote the dual cultivation of talents, on November 16th, the opening ceremony of 211 Covestro Class was held in the Multi-function Hall of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College. Ji Wenbin, deputy general manager of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai, Chen Xiaobin, president of the school and other leaders attended the ceremony.
Chen Xiaobin gave a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. Chen Xiaobin introduced the development prospects and goals of the new college, and reviewed the fruitful achievements of cooperation with Covestro in the past 20 years. He pointed out that up to now, 16 Covestro Classes have been organized, and more than 500 students have been jointly trained by school and enterprise. In the future, the school and Covestro will continue to adhere to the cooperation mechanism to realize the deep integration of production and education. Chen Xiaobin hoped that the students of 211 Covestro would cherish the hard-won opportunity, follow the example of outstanding alumni, strive for progress, cultivate skills, and improve their professional quality. All teachers of 211 Covestro Class should further strengthen communication and cooperation with the enterprise, educate students meticulously, and strive to cultivate graduates who are popular with the enterprise, so as to live up to the ardent hopes of both the school and the enterprise.
In his speech, Ji Wenbin introduced the general situation of production, scientific research and R&D of Covestro, and pointed out the connotations of "cooperation", "investment" and "strong" in the name of Covestro. At the same time, he hoped that the students of the new Covestro Class would have profound knowledge, give full play to their intelligence, and work together to create a bright future for themselves and the company. Through a wonderful video, the environmental protection concept of "creating a zero-carbon future hand in hand" was spread, and the long-term vision of "fighting for the endless recycle" was expressed. Ji Wenbin, on behalf of the company, extended a warm welcome to the new Covestro Class.
Liu Dingfeng, training director of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai, shared experience with the students present as an outstanding alumni representative. On one hand, he encouraged the students to cherish the learning opportunities in Covestro Class, master the basic knowledge, and lay a solid foundation for their future career; On the other hand, they must learn to study and summarize with clear goals in mind, and cultivate their lifelong learning ability. He encouraged all the students to keeping curious , and hoped that they could perform better and go further under the system of mentoring and teaching in Covestro.
Wang Xinkai, monitor of 211 Covestro Class, spoke on behalf of the 24 students of the class. Wang Xinkai expressed all the students' yearning for Covestro and showed their firm determination. He promised to lead the whole class to make joint efforts, forge ahead bravely and realize their dreams.
As a teacher representative, Zhu Shuiqing introduced his working experience in Covestro and his long-time work as the head teacher of the former Covestro Classes. Zhu Shuiqing promised that in the next three years, he will fulfill his duties, live up to expectations, create a positive class atmosphere, make unremitting efforts to cultivate a new generation of skilled talents with both ability and political integrity, and finally hand over a satisfactory answer.
At the end of the ceremony, the leaders of both the school and the enterprise took a group photo with the teachers and the students of 211 Covestro Class.
