On January 13th, 2022, the opening report meeting of Optimization of Chemical Technology Professional Training Scheme Based on Virtual Simulation Technology of the special project Innovative Application of Virtual Simulation Technology in Vocational Education and Teaching by the Scientific Research and Development Center of Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education was held in Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College. Xin Xiao, Secretary-General of China Chemical Education Association, attended the opening report meeting as the leader of the expert group. Also attended were experts including Shen Lei, director of the Chemical Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal and Guidance Center, Zhang Qing, president of Guangdong Maoming Polytechnic College, Zeng Haixia, director of the Vocational Education Department of Shanghai Education Commission, and Wang Qin, director of the Policy Research Office of Shanghai Vocational Education Institute. All the members of the research group participated in this activity online or offline.
This opening report was presided over by Xin Xiao. Before the start of the meeting, the publicity video of the National Virtual Simulation Training Base for Hazardous Safety in our school was shown to the expert group.
Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, as the project host, made a detailed and comprehensive exposition on the reasons for selecting the topic, the research status at home and abroad, the research objectives and contents, the research ideas and plans, and the expected results.
The expert group listened to the opening report of the research project, reviewed the preparatory materials for the research project, commented on the main points of the report, and made suggestions.
Wang Qin thought that the topic of this project resonates with the pulse of the times, the research content of this topic is rich, and the research method is appropriate. It is suggested that a research report on the professional competence standard of chemical technicians can be formed in the process of research to enrich the results of the topic. In the research thinking, they suggested carrying out practical research first, and then carrying out theoretical construction. Organic integration of ideological and political elements in the construction of curriculum system is preferred. Zeng Haixia believes that the topic selection has grasped the opportunity of digital transformation of vocational education, which is in line with the orientation of school research. She put forward specific amendments to further improve the text of the opening report. Zhang Qing believes that this project responds to the theme of enhancing the adaptability of vocational education, and the research and demonstration role of this project is obvious. It is suggested that in the process of project development, the standards, courses and teaching modes should be explored first and then optimized after practice. It is necessary to deeply explore the construction of professional curriculum system, focus on the connection between simulation and practice, and pay attention to the organic integration of ideological and political elements, such as green chemical industry, environmental awareness and safety awareness. Xin Xiao thinks that the starting point of the project is appropriate, which can give full play to Shanghai's regional advantages and improve the talent training program with new technologies, which will greatly promote the development of professional construction and vocational education. It is suggested that the integrated training scheme of secondary and higher vocational education should be included in the research of this topic in combination with the development of the school, and the background materials of the topic should be improved in combination with the New Vocational Education Law and the latest national policies and professional standards, and vocational skill level certificates, such as HAZOP certificate, should be combined to better link the training scheme with the national professional standards of vocational education.
After careful deliberation and discussion, the expert group formed corresponding argumentation opinions. The expert group believes that it is valuable to carry out the research. Based on the reality of the school, the project takes the opportunity of building a national virtual simulation training base for hazardous safety, combines the new requirements of the transformation and upgrading of the chemical industry for personnel training and the new professional standards of vocational education of the Ministry of Education, and optimizes the training scheme for chemical technology professionals. The leading idea of the project and its research content are forward-looking and worth popularizing, and it is unanimously agreed that this project should be studied according to the opening report. Through this opening meeting, the research group has a further understanding of the research of the topic, and all the team members are full of confidence in doing this national-level research project well.
