On February 8th, the Party Committee of Jinshan District Education held a thematic meeting of Party secretaries of senior middle schools in the meeting room on the fourth floor of Houde Building in our school to discuss the President Responsibility System under the Leadership of the Party Committee and the construction of young talents. Gu Hongwei, Party Secretary of Jinshan District Education Work, and Wu Ying, Deputy Party Secretary, attended the meeting. Other attendees include Gao Ju, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, Chen Xiaobin, Deputy Party Secretary of the Party Committee and President, and secretaries of the Party Committee in senior high schools.
Gu Hongwei put forward four requirements. The political position should be held firm and high, and the construction of talent team should be systematically planned to cultivate talent for the Party and the state. We should be big picture thinkers and focus on the training of talent team and the future development of Jinshan education. We should improve professional abilities, have a picture of the overall situation and coordinate all parties. The implementation of the work should be pragmatic in the spirit of persistence. He also stressed that we should conscientiously implement the President Responsibility System under the Leadership of the Party Committee, comprehensively implement the Party's educational policy in all aspects of school work, and effectively play the role of "taking the direction, managing the overall situation, making decisions, leading the team, cultivating the cadres and ensuring implementation" to continue to struggle for the Jinshan education that the people are satisfied with by planning the layout, clarifying the responsibilities and endeavoring in a pragmatic way.
Wu Ying pointed out that the secretaries of all Party organizations should have strong consciousness and earnestly perform their duties of leading the team. It is important to stringently scrutinize cadres’ politics, conduct, ability, style and integrity. It is also necessary to strengthen the training of the comrades and place more responsibilities on them while mentoring. Meanwhile, various procedures such as promotion, selection and assessment of cadres should be standardized and improved.
At the meeting, Gao Ju gave a brief report on the characteristics, the construction of the new higher vocational college and the enrollment work of our school. In the exchange, he said that the school takes the construction of teachers' morality and style as the core, focuses on the requirements of high-quality dual-qualification teachers, and builds a platform for the growth of young talents. Taking the special education within the Party as an opportunity, we focus on the goal of "dual training" and increase the training of activists joining the Party. Focus should be put on encouraging holding responsibility, improving the "five in one" working mechanism, and strengthening the training of reserve cadres.
Relevant comrades of the Party Committee Office of Jinshan District Education and the Party Service Center of Jinshan District Education made arrangements and guidance on the President Responsibility System under the Leadership of the Party Committee, talent team construction and recruitment of new Party members. The secretaries of the Party organizations attending the meeting conducted exchanges and discussions around the topic and their respective school characteristics and measures and reached broad consensuses.
