On the morning of March 31st, the launching ceremony of Evonik's Career Empowerment for Female Students in Vocational Colleges was held in Evonik Shanghai Innovation Park. Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, was invited to attend the launching ceremony and was interviewed by the International Channel Shanghai.
At the launching ceremony, Dr. Lei Tiexi, President of Evonik Asia Pacific, and Mr. Xia Fuliang, President of Evonik Greater China, delivered welcome speeches respectively. They noted that talents are the driving force for the development of the industry and society, and the empowerment project will provide more opportunities for students in higher vocational colleges to know better about themselves and tap their potentials, and cultivate diversified and multi-disciplinary young talents for the industry.
As an important partner of Evonik, our school is the only Shanghai higher vocational college to participate in this Evonik empowerment project. In the course of 20 years' school-enterprise cooperation with Evonik, the school has trained a large number of high-quality technical and skilled talents for Evonik through joint training and setting up enterprise title classes. At the launching ceremony, Lu Jianan from 201 Evonik Röhm Class, shared her study and growth experience in Evonik Röhm Class and her expectations for the "Grow Beyond Yourself" project as a student representative.
Evonik's "Grow Beyond Yourself" Career Empowerment for Female Students in Vocational Colleges will pool the advantages of Evonik resources and focus on the sustainable growth of students majoring in chemical engineering in vocational colleges, especially the ability improvement and career development of female students, so as to help them achieve better self-growth. After the project is launched, the customized activities for professional competence and innovation will be conducted in seven target vocational and technical colleges in China. By studying a large number of courses designed by Evonik applying its own cases, the project will bring students a brand-new social innovation experience. In addition to vocational hard skills, the project also includes the promotion of soft skills in the workplace to help students better understand themselves, improve their problem-solving skills and communication skills. In addition, the project also includes various learning and practical opportunities such as summer training camp activities, off-line factory field visits and exchanges, and social practice program innovation competition.
