Good News: Our school has been approved as the first batch of Shanghai Vocational Education "Dual Qualification" Teacher Training Base

Recently, the Municipal Education Commission issued "the Notice of Shanghai Education Commission on Announcing Shanghai Vocational Education ‘Dual Qualification’ Teacher Training Base(2023-2025)" (No.13 of Shanghai Education Commission [2023]), and our school stood out among ordinary undergraduate and vocational colleges with the advantage of Chemical Technology, and was successfully approved as Shanghai Vocational Education "Dual Qualification" Teacher Training Base (Chemical Technology).

Our school actively promotes the integration of production and education and internationalization, introduces German dual-system vocational qualification certificates, and cooperates with well-known enterprises at home and abroad, such as Covestro, BASF, Sinopec and GaoQiao Petrochemical, to develop the localization of the German dual-system vocational qualification certification standards for chemical technicians, thus building the only "Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Base" in China. The localized dual vocational education standards have been used in many provinces and cities in China. As the chairman of the Sino-German Chemical Vocational Training Alliance, the school organized a series of trainings on the standards, courses and teaching materials development of German dual-system chemical technicians. A large number of teachers from more than ten secondary and higher vocational colleges in the alliance, such as Maoming Polytechnic, Panjin Vocational and Technical College, Dongying Vocational Institute, Chengdu Petrochemical Academy and School Council of Central Vocational School of Shouguang, updated their vocational education concepts through training, deepened their understanding of the dual-system personnel training standards, and improved their professional construction and curriculum development.

The base will make full use of the advantages of teachers and teaching resources of member colleges and enterprises in technology research and development and practical resources, serve the needs of regional economic and social development, technological change and industrial optimization and upgrading, implement the overall requirements of high-quality development of vocational education and deepen the reform of teachers' team construction in the new era, and focus on supporting the "teacher & teaching materials & teaching methods reform"; Grasp the key links of teacher training, give full play to the main role of both schools and enterprises in training, tap the existing advantages of both sides, optimize training content, develop training courses and projects, improve training forms, and comprehensively adopt flexible and diverse training methods such as offline mixed training, online training, pair learning, off-site practice, study visit, workplace onsite practice and scientific research project implementation to tailor training programs for teachers. According to the professional development needs of teachers at different stages, accurately analyze the training needs, scientifically formulate training plans, and incorporate professional standards, professional teaching standards, professional skill level standards, advanced technologies of industrial enterprises, etc. into the compulsory training modules, so as to enhance teachers' ability to implement both education and training, develop professional talent training programs, participate in structured modular teaching and carry out education and teaching by using modern educational theories and methods; Improve the management system and evaluation mechanism, establish a quality evaluation mechanism involving the government, industry, enterprises and vocational colleges, and adopt the methods of expert field research, on-site guidance, network monitoring and evaluation, anonymous evaluation of students, and third-party evaluation to evaluate the implementation process and effectiveness, strengthen process management and diagnosis improvement, and enhance the quality and efficiency of training.

The approval of the base is an affirmation of the comprehensive strength of the school. In the future, our school will take this opportunity to further improve the cooperation mechanism of base members, standardize the implementation and management of base training, enhance the training ability of the base, and vigorously improve the education, teaching and professional practice ability of "dual qualification" teachers in vocational colleges, so as to provide a strong guarantee for serving social and economic development and cultivating a large number of high-quality technicians and technical talents.
