On May 13 and 14, in order to further promote the integration of vocational education and strengthen labor education, 2023 Shanghai Students' Career Experience Day, sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, kicked off in several training places of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, providing students with the opportunity to "walk into a vocational school, experience a project, understand a profession and feel a culture".
Focusing on the theme of "Experiencing a Profession, Finding Yourself and Enlightening the Future", the school gives full play to the advantages of vocational education resources, carefully organizes and implements 12 offline vocational experience projects for primary and secondary school students in the city, cultivates vocational interest and professional awareness, displays the achievements of vocational education reform and development, enhances the social influence and attraction of vocational education, and cultivates and promotes the era trend of "glorious labor, precious skills and great creation".
In the School of Chemical Engineering, the microscopic world under the microscope, the ignition of shaping like a snake, and the virtual chemical industry under AR&MR glasses are three experience projects. Through characteristic chemical reactions and advanced virtual reality tools, primary and secondary school students can broaden their horizons, experience the charm of chemistry, cultivate students' interest and concern in VR technology and other emerging technologies, and lay the foundation for the training of high-skilled talents in the chemical field in advance.
In the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, five experience projects, namely, light-controlled LED nightlight production, industrial robot automatically waving national flag, industrial robot reading scan code to carry a magic cube, electronic photo album production and trip to the Internet of Things, rely on new technologies such as the Internet of Things and industrial robots to trigger their own "bright future" through students' "interesting experience", so that students can understand and explore their potential energy and look forward to meeting themselves in the future.
In the School of Economics and Business, four experience projects, namely, baking, Song-style tea making, coffee making and napkin folding, are based on the theme of "Taste Life", so that students can understand the characteristics of different occupations and posts in modern service industry, enhance their understanding of different Chinese and Western food cultures, and enhance their awareness and ability of career planning.
It is reported that the Shanghai Students' Career Experience Day is held in 56 vocational schools in the city, with 31 online projects and 339 offline projects, covering crafts, mechanical production, information technology, cooking and tea art and so on. According to the activity arrangement, the vocational experience activities organized by our school will continue on May 20th, further helping primary and secondary school students to understand vocational education, experience vocational fun, look forward to their career prospects, establish their career ideals and appreciate the style of vocational education.
